  1. Every night before I go to bed, I have to reach into the drawer to find you. Some days, it seems like more work than I’m willing to put in, just to wash my face, to brush my teeth, to do the dishes, to do the basic things just to live and be hygenic. I hear of people who think of themselves as a rock garden. Daily combing, day after day. A meditation.

  4. Yes, I have one. I bought it last Wednesday. It’s red… This is my first winter and my first approach at adult life, in the cold. Felt reassuring. Almost as if I was going to make it here, in my new life.

  6. My headband is a little unusual, but it’s practical. At least that is what I tell people. Some folks would not appreciate having six separate rings from which to suspend groceries, beer, keys, and the like. But it’s allowed me to nearly do away with my pockets altogether.

  8. I often use headbands when I go for a run. It helps keep the sweat out of my eyes. I used to just wear them just to be “cool” but they aren’t cool anymore so I don’t do that anymore.

  11. It helps hold your hair in place. It can be used to add style. They come in mutiple colors, ans sizes. You can get them in a lot of stores. Some break very easily while others last a long time.

  15. Her headband ws plastic, the kinds they used to wear in the seventies. She had her hair blow dried so high i couldnt see the tv behind her. but i didnt mind. i just wanted to look at the sparkle of her cheeks when the light hit them and talk about anything and everything. i didnt want the moment to end.

  17. I have a headband. Allen gave it to me for Christmas. I like Allen but I didn’t tell him I hated it. The red color makes me puke. The bows and the lace make my eyes hurt. Nobody knows that I used this to kill Allen. Now, I’m wearing it as if it’s the best thing I ever owned.

  18. i snap my headband on and prepare to meet possibly certain doom. i swing my pickax over my shoulder and kick open the heavy metal door. a swarm of zombies stumbles towards me. i give a battle cry and start swinging away. rotten flesh flies around me.
