  2. Grinding is one of the best forms of winning money at poker. It about not letting people know that you have a better hand than them and then just faking the appropriate expressions to let them know that you are gambling on a draw chance. Once you get it then in the last betting round you can even appear to be really desperate but betting a lot of money, but infact you a looting the other one off the dough.

  3. Grinde bilden sich, wenn du dir zum Beispiel das Knie aufgeschürft hast. Zuerst brennt es. Dann lässt der Schmerz nach und das Blut trocknet. Erst ist es noch rot, dann wird es dunkler und am Ende ist es schwarz. Wenn sich die Haut darunter neu gebildet hat, fällt der Grund ab. Aber ich habe es oft nicht so lange ausgehalten und habe mir den Grind vorher abgekratzt. Dann fing es wieder an zu bluten.

A week in the hospital, four bolts, two pins and a year later and he walks on it fine. His leg has never really looked the same though.

  13. The troubles of daily life press down upon each of us. Whatever the motivating factor we find meaning and press on. We spend our days dreaming of tomorrow all the while wasting away today. For many if not most it is not the life we dreamed of but rather that which has been thrust on to us.

  14. A word whose pronunciation echoes its meaning; say it out loud, and you’ll see what I mean. That “I”, the lonely vowel, is literally mashed between the consonants, an abrasive combination that is at once harsh and apt. You’ll never call it a pretty sounding word, but the idea that a word’s sound may reveal its meaning is certainly a beautiful concept.

  15. Grind. What is grind? My mother says it’s an infection of the mind, but I think it’s rather pretty. Grind is the sort of thing that I don’t often get to see, but when I do, my mother snatches it off me and say ‘You’ll never do well with that in your hand’. But she’s wrong. In fact I plan to make a FORTUNE out of grind. If I don’t, well, I’ll move back in with her.

  32. The grinding of the machine still haunted my every waking hour. The images of my dear dog, bounding up the metal stairs to great me with a ‘clank…clank’ sound. The horrifying reality of sorrow and terror, as little sparky tripped and fell with clumsy grace into the grinder that caused his death. The sickening sound of dog whimpers and flesh grinding together in a sickening symphony that enticed my horrors.
