  2. I caught a glimpse of the strangers eyes whilst I was waiting for my train. They were dark, brooding, even pained. He hadn’t slept in a while. Or perhaps had slept far too much, nodding on the floor of a near midnight tube station as the rats sped across it.

  4. I used to see everything as a blur because my eyesight was so bad and I could never bring myself to wear glasses and contact lenses always limited the things you could do. I then got some contact lenses that you can wear constantly for a month and this changed my life. Now when I glimpse something I see it in perfect clarity and the bad thing is that when my sight was blurred, my imagination saw perfection, but now that I can see perfectly, all I see is imperfection.

  7. Glimpses of the people I could be. But they pass me by as I fall back into my rut. With a bit of extra effort I could be those people. But then I wouldn’t be sitting here eating milo out of the tin with a spoon. And that is pretty awesome. Then again maybe those people do that too, with a funkier spoon.

  12. what I see in the window is not what is real. it is that, a glimpse. it is a fever, barely sheening on the skin. It feels good, it is near, it is close. How can I explain how close it is without just saying that it’s close? Can it get closer? Is it a flash in the darkness or light or in color? Whatever it is, it never lasts, like anything, it all, your memories, your body.
