  1. My mom was running low on gasoline so she went to get some at the gasoline station! When she was getting the gasoline and waiting for it to get all the way in the car I smelled the gasoline going in to the car. I plugged my nose even though I like the smell of gasoline. It smelled gross that day for some reason! I wish she would not have went to gasoline station to get gasoline on the day I had to be with her. Maybe I will not go the next time! But I wish I would not have to hear my family complain about how high the gasoline prices are getting in this area. If maybe I could make gasoline prices go down there would be a lot less complaining!

Gasoline is gas it is something that you put in you car and it helps an you get places like if you go to a far away place you need to get gas so you can drive to where you need to get to and if you don’t get gas and you run out of it you can not drive anywhere and you will be stuck that is what gasoline does.

  6. My parents are not complaining about the gasoline prices going up because they think that they are just staying the same, and I am glad of that. They think that the other people just need a little more self control to them self on the news and when they are out driving around, they should be glad that some people are not going away on vacation yet and that would make the gasoline prices go up even more. I am glad that my parents are not complaining to much about it so I do not have to here it at home and at school. The only time I sometimes hear it is if they are watching the news when I am trying to go to sleep at night on a school night. I have heard my mother and father saying that the people who are complaining should just be QUIET.

  13. It’s an old place, smelling strongly of gasoline and stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom isn’t in the most sanitary shape, but we don’t have much choice. Thankfully, no one’s around, so I accompany Myles into the closest stall and before the door is even closed, he’s hunched over the toilet with blood dribbling from his lips.

  15. Ugh, what an American word. The word petrol almost sounds elegant in comparison. But there is nothing ‘elegant’ in how the worlds’ most dominant nations, exploit and hoodwick poorer nations for this commodty.

  16. don’t buy gasoline on april 15th, some say this would be the way to get prices to drop but I don’t know if that would do much good. What do you think?

  18. She wondered if the gasoline in the lawnmower was enough to blow up the garage. She just didn’t feel like cleaning the rat-trap out and this seemed like a do-able solution.

  19. gasoline prices are not only way to high but annoying, malia is going to be here in less then 48 hours and now i have to help her pay for us to get back to the quad cities because its so expensive she cant do it on her own, and all i want to do is save money to buy a car. but its pointless because the money that will go into the car i buy, will mostly be on gasoline. ironic. and laaaaame. oh life, you’re so funny.

  23. Cars guzzle it and it’s way too expensive to be practical. It costs me $50 to fill up my tank just to get home from college. It happens to smell lovely though.

  24. really?
    gasoline?
fuel that sustain the running creatures on the road
the crawling dirty things that emit poisonous gas
the dust covered body, the noisy engines, the dizzying headlight
    but yet people loves it
    i dont

  25. BEEP BEEP! The car screamed behind me. I was riding as fast as i could to not use up the precious resources that we had left. I wanted to save the world, but, alas, I do not have super powers.

  26. gas prices are still going up! I mean, they do every summer, so what’s new, right? So one of my new favorite places to get food is Sheetz. Their chicken salad is pretty good…not the best I’ve tasted, but it’s still good. And their fries…mmmmm…so good. They remind me a lot of old Burger King fries.

  28. Gasoline. Fire. Fuel.

  29. loved watching you drink yourself into waste; didn’t mean it to be so intentionally cruel.

  30. There was a fire I said to my self to blame it on gasoline. I said that to my self because there was a barrel of gasoline.

  31. Gasoline is just gas in my point of view. It has line in it at least. It has gas in it. I has a o in it so if you put all that together it spells gasoline!!!

  32. All there was was gasoline we could either drink it or use it to light up what we had left behind. Tough decision. of course you were all about those nasty thoughts and feelings what a deal and treat I was getting into.

    by iris on 04.15.2011
  33. gasoline is like the color green. It’s greed. The people love it and think they need it. They will do anything for it. We are even in a war now for it…right? This common item that was made to use cars, is now the reason of war.

    by Ashley on 04.15.2011
  34. Gasoline is definitely a contentious issue, because there are many who feel we should no longer rely on it as fuel, but instead on other forms such as ethanol. But there are a lot of big problems with ethanol; I think a better solution would be to go for algae-based ethanol rather than corn-based ethanol, especially given that we have what many are calling a “global food crisis” on our hands. It’s a pretty serious situation, if I do say so myself. And I do, by the way.

  36. When it was cheaper back when it went into the machine it was gasoline. Now the gas goes into the car. The extra syllables like extra seconds made the money stretch around them like a rubber band and now so fast in a snap it goes.

  37. we pulled over to the side of the road. all i could smell was gasoline. he got out of the van and we sped off. no one spoke. in the rearview mirror i saw a large burst of flame where we had dropped him off. “my god, he really did it”

  38. gasoline – horrible word to write about. makes me think of all kind of things i dont wanna think about. on the other hand, it also reminds me of an oasis video. stop crying your heart out. the girl in that video.. anyway, you probably saw it anyway, eh?

  39. rhymes with vasoline and not quite with tangerine. put it in a car. i need a car. vroom vroom. i should have slept earlier last night. is getting enough sleep worth it though? i’ve slept a lot in life; i’ve never done all the things i do when i don’t sleep. never exactly, anyway. imagine if instead of sleep, we could fuel our bodies with gasoline.

  40. Gasoline. That’s what it smells like! Sadly, many will not know the smell of gasoline because today’s—and yesterday’s—generation have been selfish and exploited petroleum.
