  1. Planets and stars and comets surround us. God’s amazing creation.

    by Bryanna on 04.02.2011
  2. The galaxy to me is a forever unexplored place. I don’t care how many people ever make it there, there will always be more. (: When I think of the galaxy, I think of stars and planets which are fascinating to me. You use galaxy in so many ways too, like when one says, “I love you more than all the stars in the galaxy.” The galaxy is an amazing place from how everyone uses the word and describes it so much… Galaxy galaxy galaxy. Galaxy. I think I like the word, too. The X is what makes it a likeable word. Normally, people don’t like words with x’s, q’s, or z’s I think. I like some words with x’s. I still don’t like the letter Q. It’s just a fancy O. it’s like, “hey guys, I’m a q…” No, you’re not, you’re an O with a tail. Z isn’t bad either. My last name starts with a z. I like z. I like the word galaxy.

  3. It had been quite a long day at work, and all I wanted to do was escape to a place of serenity and peace. I climbed into my trusty space capsule, turned the widget and off I flew. Saturn beside me, on to Neptune, and into regions beyond, I fell into the arms of God. Peace was mine.

    by Carolyn on 04.02.2011
  4. I imagine a galaxy within my myself, an endless stretch of darkness filled with stars and worlds so distant they may never meet. Each planet is a person, and each star is an idea, and occasionally they collide in a massive, beautiful explosion, and they become my friends.

    by Rachel on 04.02.2011
  5. In a galaxy of stars, there was only one that really mattered to me. It was the one that you and I first looked up at that night. You said, “Do you see that star?” I said yes, I did. “That’s our star.” And it was.
And like that star, I want you to know, you are the only one that really matters to me.

    by Chloe on 04.02.2011
  6. the galaxy is a huge thing we don’t know where it stops or ends. All we know is that we are a miniscule ‘thing’ in the galaxy. Who knows if theres a God, but all I know is that the galaxy is too complicated to think about. Seriously, who wants to learn about a galaxy if no one is even sure how it was formed? Gotta think about that.

    by l on 04.02.2011
  7. I love the galaxy. It reminds me of my first love. We would always sit and look at the stars, searching the universe for where that amazing feeling was coming from, wondering why we were where we were. It was absolutely lovely, and I would give anything to have one of those moments again.

    by Hillary on 04.02.2011
  8. The galaxy is composed of billions of stars, and the Earth is the same way with people. Some people, same as stars, shine brighter than others. But it’s not because of how bright they truly are, it’s because of the distance that distorts the brightness. Every person has the power to shine beautifully, you simply have to get close enough.

    by Mary on 04.02.2011
  9. Galaxy far far away was suddenly attacked by a few crazy aliens. Pero no contaron con que ahí vivía una princesa nada pinky y muy punk que practicaba box todas las tardes y salía a tomar chelas con los pirañitas del barrio The Pearl

    by Ale on 04.02.2011
  10. Soaring through space. I have on a light oxygen tank and flying feels so good. The stars don’t look this bright at home and the weight of life disappears. This is where I belong– in the sky. No, in space. I’m starting to see the big picture.

  11. I have never felt so small.
I want to run to every galaxy and see what there is ment for me to see.
Though, that is impossible for such a tiny human/ for any human.

    by Casey on 04.02.2011
  12. It’s the most wonderful thing anyone has ever seen. It makes us forget what we think of ourselves and realize what we really are. Just small cogs in a larger wheel. It’s our galaxy. It’s our home. It’s our beauty.

  16. I was sitting there enjoying my Milky Way candy bar when all of a sudden I had a vision. There I was looking at Creamy Universe Island. No…wait a minute…that’s Star Crunch Galaxy. No, it’s just a dance Bar.

  19. a spiral, the edge of one trailing arm. Trailing deep into space which makes no sound. Miles of space with nothing between. It feels far. It can feel cold. It doesn’t feel lonely.

    by Patrick on 04.02.2011
  20. The world was a dark, empty place. I was alone. I’d sometimes go outside and stare at the stars, look up at them. Look at the deep blackness that envelops every single one of us here. It’s funny thinking that; we are all connected by one thing: the sky. No one is ever not looking at it alone.

    by Avery on 04.02.2011
  21. I see the galaxy and my heart thumps. It’s so huge. How could someone ever cross something so huge? Who could’ve created something so large? Something so beautiful? Something… so… Amazing.

    by Abby. on 04.02.2011
  22. The stars in the sky glow brightly as the night engulfs the surroundings of my vision. The galaxy is vast and humble, we are simply tiny specks as part of the whole system. We tend to take things for granted, but, for now, I’m content to stare at the stars.

    by Steph on 04.02.2011
  23. Chickens in the grass, a telling without end, and so much dew on the outer window. Tell me how the scene goes, whether within or without, and tell me to love the smoothness of your face. Second or third helpings, a swirl of cream, and this.

    by David on 04.02.2011
  24. such a big word for such small minds.
    expand and expand
    till gaps do us part
    no more

  25. Not this word. Again. The first time I visited this website I was forced to write on this word. This word is a tricky one. I think of being a little kid, of watching Star Wars with my Dad. Of pretending I hated it, but secretly enjoying every minute of it. I think of how small I am.

    by Elena on 04.02.2011
  26. I wonder if there is life in the other galaxies. It’s completely possible. billions of other planets and galaxies, so I’m sure that there has to be another form of life out there. Can you imagine what they look like? Do they look like the movies cartoons or like us?

  27. is really big and scary and magnificent. i like to think of how big the universe is and how many galaxies, stars, planets there are. but then it make me feel really small. i think im okay feeling this way. i guess i dont really have a choice. maybe everyone feels this way. i think they do.

    by Sarah Linkletter on 04.02.2011
  28. The galaxy is so big it makes my soul hurt.

    by Kirsten on 04.02.2011
  29. in a galaxy far far away i see the smallest sand drops on the smallest pyramids. there are eyes there, millions of eyes starring up at the multitudes of stars but the sand remains anonymous, blank as a virgin’s womb.

    by Anastasia on 04.02.2011
  30. Blisters of every color
    are just a million minerals
    spilling in suspension.

    Oxygen, carbon
    all on fire
    and eating up
    lapping up the dark.

  31. the galaxy is huge…and ridiculous. I can sometimes see it if the sky is clear enough and the street lights are gone. By galaxy I of course mean milky way. You know what, though? I am not at all interested in writing about the galaxy. I hate space and I just don’t care. I don’t find things like galaxies and universes very poetic…maybe other people can find a way to make them artistic but not me. I prefer stars actually (oddly enough I have a poetic connection with stars but but galaxies…go figure) but I just don’t think the word “galaxy” has a very poetic connotation for me. It signifies science for me and I personally think that art and science are separate entities. Oh whoops time was up a while ago…okay bye.

    by Sapphira on 04.02.2011
  32. beautiful stars full of wonder and amazment with candy and funnn (: i think jesus and satan live there. well at least party there. id like to party with them. they sounds like nifty people.

  33. a vacuous empty, ever expanding cavity filled with gaseous balls of fire and ice eternally chasing one another around in endless circles

    by anna on 04.02.2011
  34. The galaxy is a vast space of material which we live in. Star wars happened in a completely different one and I don’t know why Luke kissed his sister. Where I come from that is considered really really nasty and I’m pretty sure it is anywhere else in the world. I mean I would rather kiss Chewbacca then my own sister. Gross.

    by James Webb on 04.02.2011
  35. In a world, far away in another galaxy there are no lights, just sounds. From those sounds you hear magic happen and this magic is life. Organisms evolve and take on different forms, light isn’t needed.

    by Ashley on 04.02.2011
  36. Its full of stars
    countless number of planets
    It’s all black
    Hoe to everything that exists
there could be aliens outhere, who knows?
i want to go there some day and visit the moon with all my friends

    by Siobhan OD on 04.02.2011
  37. Stars a painfully dull to me. I know it seems strange. They’re far away, years away, and they’re still seen to our eyes. Unfortunately, the stereo-type of a star is what really bothers me the most. I can’t stand it. They’re supposed to be lights far away in the dark… but they’re just big balls of hot air. What is that like to you?

    by BDM on 04.02.2011
  38. She looked at the sky. The galaxy looked back. At least, she liked to pretend it did. What else was there out there? It scared her to think there was nothing but black out in the sky, nothing but empty. She liked to think of the galaxy as a friendly, comforting space.

    by kait on 04.02.2011
  39. It’s what she’s all about. Beneath her rough outer surface is a girl longing to see the world, the sky, and whatever lies behind it. It’s her dream to go to space. She has journals and notebooks and sketchbooks just full of galaxies, pink and black and green and golden.

  40. the galaxy is full of thousands of many shining stars in the sky,
even those stars in the galaxy couldnt compare to your eyes.
the galaxy is full of many planets that circle around the sun,
but I’d give up all those worlds, just to be with you, my only one.
