  2. I go to the forest to forge for fruit. I really like the wild strawberries even though they are very small. You have to eat a bunch to feel like you got anything, but they are really sweet. I remember at girl scout camp our dinner was really late so we all tried to find as many berries as possible. They told us to leave some for the deer.

  9. To forge. Well, one of the meanings of this word would be to forge something, as in signatures. I’ve actually done that with (Alarming!) increasing frequency in these years, mostly because I feel that letting my parents sign every consent form these days is too time consuming, and I tend to forget to give it to them anyway. Another would be to forge with metal, I think, as in forge a sword. I’ve never done that before though, and I hardly think I would like to try that anytime soon.

  11. forge the world. forging takes away the souls of people. or so a robin hobbes book suggests. personally, i’ve always thought being a blacksmith would be a bit of fun. admittedly, the fact that I am female causes a bit of a problem, since it requires quite a bit of arm strength to wield hammers all the time. still, the idea of creating things through metallurgy and brute strength is enticing.

  12. Even though the way is hard, I will forge ahead through the wilderness. The fields of tall grass make passing through difficult, but I must persevere. Nothing worth getting to is easy. There must be struggle and pain in order to appreciate what lies ahead.

  15. Forge reminds me of Sound Forge, audio editing software I used to use in my pre-Mac days. Of course, I also think of Viking Gods and “forging things of steel” and that kind of thing. Even LOTR and the rings themselves.

    by Andt on 06.24.2008
  16. Making things out of metal, reminds me of world of warcraft actually. A really good mate of mine used to play it with me until he was involved in a car carsh and killed. I really miss the bugger, had some fucking awesome times with him. Back to forging, badly forged stuff will often fail and break. Can be either ductile failure or brittle failure, or anywhere in between. I’m such a nerd.

  18. Forging swords are very dangerous for your health. Forges can make all sorts of weapons – swords, axes, and a range of others. Along with weapons forges can also make items such as horse hooves and other metallics. Forges were more common in medieval times when blacksmiths were popular for knights and armies. Forging items takes a lot of skill and patience – you should be trained before attempting to use one and always play with the fire carefully.
