They wre cute with orange stitching. the following year flares were in. How come I was thought of as hopelessly unfashionable and not just ahead of my time?

  23. i took the flare gun out and pointed it in his direction. I only have one shot so i have to make it count. I have a clear shot, now if only i can pull the trigger. something in me holds back. am i really about to kill a person? that seems like the only option out right now. if i dont kill them and i only wound them then they are inevitably gunna kill me. what do i do?

    it was probably the coolest nickname i’ll ever have.

  29. Flare guns shoot flares and fires stuff… yea. What about those lights, signaling help and stuff and that we’ve taken over the planet (that was from Star Wars The Old Republic trailer). So yea, flares are cool, but what about donuts? Donuts don’t get their fair share of flares. I think we all deserve a little flair sometimes. Yea.

  31. I couldn’t tell what exactly was on his vest. Someone called it ‘flare’ at one point. Why would buttons on a sash or vest be considered flare? I looked down at my own vest and realized it was completely bare except for my name badge. Was I one of the cool kids if I adorned the vest with buttons and pins? Oy, what do I do? I puzzled over this and decided that next time I went out, I was going to get some ‘flare’ of my own.
