I’m wandering through the streets of Prague. My friends are studying, but I chose to take the day off so that I could have some time to think. I’ve come so far since this time last year. I don’t want to leave my new family, but I know I have to.
It is interesting the things I discover about myself all the time. Like how I don’t much like too much cream cheese or too much ketchup. Like how I have very little patience yet am extremely picky. Like how beneath my bedrock and molten core, you reappear, a new species every time, I rediscover.
what did i discover on my travels to San Francisco? I discovered I loved sourdough bread, dim sum (especially the pork buns), walking in the rain in the redwood forest, riding cable cars. I also discovered I was out of shape as I tried to climb the hills!
I quickly discover that your skin is oddly soft. Despite all of your trials in the Marines, all of your rough-housing as a kid, and all the shit you put yourself through daily, you skin is soft. And inviting. And I accept the invitation.
There were endless landscapes to discover and treasures to be found in every moment we spent together. The elegant curve of your collarbone, the firm plane of your belly, the intoxicating secret places between your thighs, the elusive flicker of ecstasy in your eyes as the world swam out of focus and you clung to me in that momentary blindness. But as the journey carried on and the tailwind we’d been sailing on subsided, we discovered that we were two continents too far apart to ever become one.
you can find anything if you think it can be found. the profound knowlage that it mearly can exist somewhere in your reality is all you need to modivate you. wit hevery waking moment you can discover a new beautiful something. or someone. if people could only see how very beautiful every one is the worl would be a much kinder place if people smiled as they walked down the street there would be much more kindness to discover than weakness
i want to discover my pain i want to heal it . i want to discover the world i want to fix this. i want it all out of me i want to discover how i can do it . Discovering will lead me through .
like discovering new stuff inside my own home. something I thought that I’d lost or something I never knew I had, or something I knew about but also forgot about. i like discoverg new ways of thinking, new stuff to do. That’s always a blast.
a word of poosibility.. you can discover things that disturb you.. or delight you.. its the uknown. and on that note.. columbus discovering the new world… well fuck that.. he just got into a boat and had the balls to keep going towards the horizon. anyway. I dicovered.. my time is up.
It can only be done to something pre-existing. That is different than invention, or creation. I like it because I don’t have to be God. I can just find his tracks in the woods instead.
You don’t need your imagination to discover anything, but discovering anything worthwhile requires a great deal of imagination. Looking at the world as it is isn’t to discover, but seeing. Discovering is searching and finding. In order to discover, one must have the will to dream of finding something.
Discover? Discover what? Discover that her body is not her own? Discover that she no longer has a future, but instead, a duty? Discover that there is no place for her? What would she possibly want to discover, I wonder.

pulling my feet along the road, turning amongst the beer bottles, the condom wrappers, the bent grass, I find a photograph. The corners bent, smeared with gasoline, the woman looks over the man’s shoulders, eyes dead. The man grips her hands, pulling them, making her his hostage.
You’ll never discover that I’m getting revenge on you by doing to you the same thing that you’re doing to me. The only difference is you’d never expect it from me.
All of my photography was going to be on a big screen, in front of everyone, little pencils ready to critique and observe, comments to be made by my peers.

And then, five minutes after the presentation, a friend laughed and laughed and laughed. She touched the tag of my beautiful white dress. The beautiful white dress had been inside out, and it was indeed, a discovery.
During my time as a human I was very secretive, very private. I didn’t like a lot of people knowing what was going on in my life. Now my blood thirsty lifestyle secret is of grave importance. I can not let anyone discover who or should I say what I have become. Ironic, I finally have a secret worth keeping and now that my life depends on it I am anxious to share. Its a shame only my victims get to discover the real me.
Only to discover she wasn’t my mom at all. how could this be? we had the same front teeth. she said so herself. who was she? why did she pretend for so long? and why did i have to find out that crazy day in the delivery room with my feet in the air?
I’m immediately reminded of Christopher Columbus AND these McNally books that I used to read as a kid. You had to go through them and find different objects and people, usually distributed amongst large amounts of farm-related items.

Discover sounds to me like scuba diving. i don’t know why But I want to go scuba diving and dive down and see all the fishies and make new friends. Discover also reminds me of a credit card, which is sad because it shows how commercialism has affected this one little word.
