  2. The delicate flower was being withered in the storm. Its smooth petals were falling all around, and its delicacy was its weakest point. The storm was rushing in, and no one could save the flower. The lavender color added to its delicacy.

  16. She was delicate. The whole look about her, her fragile bones, the thin blonde hair. Everything that she was seemed to be so fragile, so gossamer, so breakeable. I had to protect her from being broken…

  18. let’s take
    that cycle round
    the block
    perambulating fever
    feverish bookends
    to the day’s
    crash & burn
    ambiguous felines
    down the alleys
    casual chat
    & bloom
    we do the this &
    then we do the
    that
    aspiring as a baby
    boy does his
    anvil chase
    we’ll find the newborns
    in the latter
    the moist anagrams
    of postulant fervor
    while invention
    o, invention,
    o, mighty invention
    brings us
    safely
    irreverently
    ambitiously
    to
    snug
    harbor.

  23. How delicate your fingers
When they touched my life’s thread.
When they closed around that knife
    that would settle my end.
The fear in your eyes was nothing but a beauty mistake
    You were perfect
And your lips bibbering were the movement I nedded
    to scream.
To scream because the beauty was too much.

    by FG on 02.14.2010
  24. her skin was delicate, fragile, that old woman skin that appears to be translucent.

the rip the knife caused opened it up like tissue paper. the blood welled for a moment, then poured out with real purpose.

this was the delight he found in old ladies.. the scent of their skin, the purity of their cries of fear, the destruction of their being.

    it made him god.

  25. Her fingers are like feathers.

She hates it, and I think in some ways I must hate it too. Because it’s not enough to be delicate, you have to also be fragile, and that’s something Kimmy never was.

Despite the fact that she was once so strong and able, so ready to face the world (and roundhouse kick it, in the face), the girl that sat before me now, hairless and pale, was no longer so able.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

  29. If my ring and middle fingers weren’t double jointed and bent and ugly, my hands might be delicate. Yet

  38. Frail flowers are very delicate. I think that I should be careful with them. Meadows are beautiful at national parks, but it’s important that we don’t tramp all over the beautiful landscape of wild-flowers. Many park-goers disregard the reality that these wild places are disappearing and destroy the delicate nature. Nature is very delicate and we need to preserve it for future generations.
