  1. My house was decorated in a manly manner. Very many aesthetic details were completely neglected in the decoration of this living space. I feel comfortable in my domicile. It reflects the people that live within.

  2. He was a decorated war veteran. He didn’t like to talk about it, though. People have said that he cries out in his sleep, or that he doesn’t sleep at all. He’s a legend in these parts, but no one really wants to deal with him. Legends are scary that way.

  3. The room was decorated to the point where it looked more like an eclectic antique shop than a living room. It was like a garage sale from the 18th century threw up in there. Did they have garages in the 18th century?

  4. He was a decorated soldier. Wearing his medals proudly upon his breast, he would strut around the village like a vain peacock. Everyone who saw him had to suppress their contemptuous smirks. They knew only too well how he had come by his medals. Raping women and children, pillaging and all other manner of evil had been his trade for a whole decade. They often wondered how he could still walk with his head upon his shoulders instead of buried deep in one of his orifices.

  5. My room is barely considered decorated. Posters.

  6. she hung the lamp shad and shifted her head contemplating it’s appearance, little did she know that another figure approached. Said figure wrapped their arms around the girl’s waste and pulled her closer. “I missed you.”

  12. I decorated my room because i felt it needed a new look. you can redecorate a lot of things, like rooms, and houses, and yourself even. Like, if you decide you want to do something new, you redecorate and suddenly, it’s not the same anymore. It’s an entire different thing.

  15. When I think of decorated I think of a Decorated Soldier or Warrior. Everyone thinks we’re wrong in going to war, and I always have as well. But when you look at it anthropologically, we’ve been at war since we’ve learned how to use tools, we are a horrible species.

  16. Last year I met an army general that was highly decorated. he wore over 100 medals of honor from his enlisting in 3 wars. General Murdock was a very interesting and well versed story teller and the best part was that he loved to share his stories. One day I invited general murdock to come and speak to my students at shcool. Not only did he tell them amaxzing stories, but he made history come alive. He spoke of bullets buzzing by his ear and nearly nicking him, he spoke of hope being shared by their superiors. He spoke of freindships and bonds so strong that to date are still prevalent in his daily life. Above all he spoke of patriotism so strong and intense that it moved all of my kids to feel the same love for your

  17. My room is poorly decorated. I have a desk in the corner, a bed on the floor, a set of rollers next to the bed. The only things on the barren walls are the scuffs from my bike.

    by Arch Bernard on 07.31.2010
  18. I decorated my house with colorful pink ribbons. I laced up all of my chair legs, my table legs, and everything that could possibly be laced! I was going for full-on PlayBoy theme.

  19. Freckles dot my nose in the most horrible manner. when I was younger I would stand in front of the mirror scrunching and unscrunching my nose, hoping every time that the movement would loosen the freckles hold on my skin.

  20. I decorated that room with all my power and instance with everything I had in me.
I wanted it to be perfect for her.
I wanted it to be amazing.
i wanted a lot of things, but change changes things far too often.
Decorate that room, with all her favorite things.
    But dont let her know.
Dont let her know what your reasoning is.
    Ever.

  23. The room was decorated in light pink hues with accents of pale yellow and soft meadow green. Seriously? Perfect for a newborn, but she was 15. The tears began to force their way out of her eyes, and then she began to sob.

  24. I decorated my room while I was in high school. Though it would seem like a simple childish thing to do, I created a sanctuary for myself. No other living space that I have had since has ever compared.

  25. Bought some posters today. Decorated my room. Now its fuckin’ awesome. Bet you wish your room was as cool as my room. My room pimpslaps your brain and is like BAM! Yours? Nah.

  26. i decorated my cat’s playhouse and it turned out to look just like a mural of jimi hendrix. He was just chilling there, taking a shit on the toilet, when a crocodile came out of the faucet from the ivory sink and pulled a gatt on him and said “excuse me sir.”

  27. She would lie on her back, staring at the dirty salmon walls and damp ceiling, the peeling paper and the broken windows. Her home, was a nightmare. However, when she went to her own little world, it was a palace, a beautiful and magic world of her own, decorated how she wanted it. Not reality. Oz, her own Oz.

  28. The soldier stood before the grave and let his mind go blank. It was difficult to think that a few heartbeats had separated him from this fate. That the one now lying peacefully beneath this mound of earth had used those heartbeats to push his friend and accept his fate. The ghastly decorated cemetery seem to mock the final sacrifice that was made.

  29. All I am
on damp grass in June; and I do not belong,
    there are stars
    drifting to slumber, the fear
    that they disappear
    like everything else,
the day was twin sparrows over thick grass
and the word on their wings was “papa”,
blistered against fevered sky, branded as ants
upon concrete. everything gauzed with sweat,
i wrenched the lawn ornaments from the earth
and clawed them to lace, a decorated face…

  30. I thought that my house needed to be decorated. There was nothing on the walls and it felt very barren. The house did not need decoration, it needed a change of persons–more of a personality decoration.

  31. An officer looking like a christmas tree. But not as festive…

  32. She decorated the birthday cake with purple icing. Not much of it because she wasn’t into sweets. The frosting was key: rainbow chip. Which is distinctly different from funfetti. They may look the same but those chips make a huge difference. At 25, she didn’t mind that she was baking her own birthday cake.

  33. Christmas lights.
    Diwali diyas.
    Bdays spent alone.
Missing people, wishing they had never gone.

  34. Mom decorated my room in pink and white when I was little. I loved it, of course, being a little girl. Then I hit high school and everything switched to black and brown. I decorated like a bruise. Now I’m in grad school, and we’re back to pink and blue. The circle is now complete.

  35. I placed my fingers on the keys and played. The notes flared forth, disrupting the sleeping dust around them. They floated, leaving trails in their wake, and decorated the air surrounding me.

flowers in a house that needed color
a backpack of buttons and writings and scribbles

    by EliEli on 07.31.2010
  39. She set the picture against the wall, uncertain about decorating with it. No matter how much he said he was okay with it, she did not want to make him stare at that image. No matter how much he was really uncaring, it was dreary and horrid and not to mention downright insulting to him.

  40. I’ve decorated my skin
    With stories
    That you will never know
    And that I
    Will never forget.
    Scars tell stories
Of pain and heartache and emptiness
    Of razor blades and irons
Of hours spent alone and terrified.
    These decorations
    Good for any season
Will haunt me through the ages.
