Good memories of learning how to make blueberry or cherry crumble to serve to her friends. But she always stayed away from cooking the apple variety of the species crumble.

    When she had eaten the apple crumble in Jeff’s apartment, her stomach clenched and she felt trapped. She hesitated before scraping off the burnt part, imagining her mother’s hand coming down on her face. “Wasting food, aren’t you?” And watching her mother picked off all the burned pieces and placing it in front of her.

    “You’re going to eat every last crumble, if you know what’s good for you.”

  8. I always expected this places to be freeer than this, or is it more free? A place free from thought from action, from belief, like being a child in eternal wonder, a regression from doubt the crumbler.
