I see the crane in the shallows of the cove, searching for fish, for sustenance. I, too, search for sustenance in the cold waters, but find none. It’s difficult for everyone. This earth tries to provide, but can be thwarted by the very beings it tries to feed.

I folded a crane using the pita bread that they give out at Mongolian Grill. It took me quite a bit of time and effort, but it turned out to be a pretty little thing. Then it flew away.
My dad rents cranes in order to erect buildings and stadiums and such. He is an owner of a steel fabrication and erection business. The economy is not affecting them at all right now.

With an idea forming in her mind, she began folding it deftly.
And at the end, she had a paper crane which she gave to her sister.
Who smiled at her, and she felt a lump rising in her throat. That smile was worth a thousand paper cranes.
