  1. the video game controller left his hand, flying directly into the front of the screen. the glass ricochet off the electronic plate and began to electrocute daz. He was shaking and moving all over the ground while his friends continued to laugh about how it was the thirds time daze had thrown the wii-mote that night. As they chortled away, Daz swallowed his own tongue and proceeded to go cold in front of them.

  4. Those damn things are so confusing. What are all those buttons really for? To add color to the remote? To look more appealing to those who enjoy technology. You hit one button and uh-oh there goes your cable…the next minute you have captions, and then you can’t find it. Damn controllers…who needs ’em anyways.

  5. He held the controller in his hand, debating on whether or not to push the button that would end everything. He sighed running a hand through his hair. The suspense of his actions was killing him, because he knew that if he hit the button, everything would be over. He paced with it, back and forth, back and forth. Finally he gave into the pressure and pressed the button, which resulted in the worst thing he could think of….

  7. well, two things come to my mind.
    a game controller.
and a controller of the world.
someone could be a controller of a controller.
    that’s possible.
someone could be a controller of someone else. of a place, a person, a thing.
    i control my phone. i’m a controller.

  8. the tv remote. it controls everything. its a simple object with so much power. a controller is someone who controls things, the higher power. Like a teacher, they are a controller. You controlled me; you were my controller. And to be honest, i hate you for that. I guess we take advantage of the controller sometimes, they never get enough credit for how much they do.

  9. There’s no right.

    Not today.

She is like the wind outside, tearing at the shingles, pushing at the storm windows. But she is silent. If he saw her side, no.

    No.

She would never see his side. He will apologize again, be wrong again, grovel, grovel, forever grovel, and spend the rest of his life making it up to her.

  11. It is something you use for a television and game console. Also, you can use it for your radio. Something easier rather than manually. It works usually through battery.

  12. A controller can pertain to many things: a video game, the television or a human. The human controller is the worst kind. When one attempts to control another, or a group, all hell breaks loose. The controller gets power-mad and the controlled begin to feel futile and useless. Some stand up for the controlled, some join the controller. It is never right.

  13. The controller drove through the debris that littered the street, trying to get to Michael’s house, which technically wasn’t there anymore. In fact none of the houses were on their foundations anymore. The firestorm raged as the controller pulled into the driveway. Getting out of the truck, he walked over to the edge of the foundation and looked down at a bloodied man tipping a jug to his mouth.

  14. Button mashing. Button mashing. ABBABALEFTRIGHTUPDOWNAAABBXYXXY. COMBO!

  19. there they were all in one place, someone needed to step forward and claim what was theirs…everyone wanted them, but only one would stand out, they would be, “the controller”!

  20. hahaha, oh the irony.
Various video game controllers litter our basement floor, some of them work, some don’t. It’s interesting fishing through to find a good one.
I have nothing deep or interesting to say of this. Merely a random thought of memories provoked.

  21. someone who controls. The controller of a game, I feel like sometimes I lose control. I would like to think that I can take a step back in most hectic situations in my life and control my own emotions and sort of calm the waters… but as I am feeling more and more tired everyday and forgetting what I was so enthused about days/months/years ago I am slowly losing control.

  22. Fighting back and forth, tug-tug-tugging on the controller. My sister and I don’t play well, but that’s usual for sisters, isn’t it? It isn’t like we hate each other.

We aren’t the ones controlling this game. The controller is controlling us; our actions, our thoughts and everything we do. This controller is what we are to become.

  23. The controller slipped from my hand as our fingers intertwined. The first time I had held hands with someone and not wanted to pull away, to run, to hide. I let him hold my hand. No, I held his hand. I thought that I would be happy to hold onto it forever, that I would be happy to protect him, just as I was happy to protect my best friend, just as I was happy to protect my cousin, just as I was happy to protect myself. It didn’t take long for me to realize I couldn’t protect myself any longer, though. To protect him, I had to let the guard down on myself.

  24. A video game. Nothing else; it was this or dying.

The controller fell from my hands because of the sweat dripping from them. It was hard to concentrate with the controller slipping out but I had to get through it.

This controller was my life. It is to be the end of me.

Nothing but me and my controller.

  25. “Afck!” he shouted, throwing the controller down in frustrating. With a few choice swear words, he set to fuming, arms crossed and mouth pulled down in a pout.
Rolling her eyes, his girlfriend retrieved the controller from the floor, saying, “You’re not taking enough time to aim. Here, let me show you.”
She the proceeded to royally trounce his high score.

  26. Plug it in and turn it on. Lights blink at you and your eyes begin to adjust to the brightness the television screen brings you. Countless hours spent, pent up in this position, the plastic between your fingers your only comfort.

  27. My father. What he cannot control, he destroys. I despise him.

  28. He moved through my life like an icebreaker at the pole. He cared not for the environment, but only for his prize, which was beyond sight and horizon. He was to rule, and rule he wouldj without concern for my wishes or dreams. He told and commaned, he directed and controlled every part of my living. I admit I yielded at first. As I grew tired of my sacrifice, he grew increasingly blind to my despair.

  29. it makes life easier. its usually black. sometimes its a person. i dont like it when its a person. usually i cant find it… even when i do find it i wish i hadnt because there’s nothing on worth watching… if it’s a person then sometimes its bad. sometimes someone can be a controller without you actually knowing. i like it when its the little plastic thing that changes the channel. the av button confuses me a lot. what does it do?

    by abi on 02.05.2011
  30. Seriously think of another word. This is getting pretty ridiculous. How do you expect “controller” to get the creative juices flowing? The very nature of a controller is to stifle and subjugate the masses into a single ideology – to control.

    by Lali on 02.05.2011
  31. i hate when i loose my controller. i cant do anything. im too lazzy to look for it but oh welll. uhm i have like 50 controllers. but i hate when i cant find the tv controller. im glad the invented the controller because im too lazy to get up and change the channel.

  32. All televisions and video game consoles use controllers. I don’t like television so much so I don’t like the concept of a “controller” too much. This word also makes me think of a domineering type of person, one who always needs to have their way.

    by Anna on 02.05.2011
  33. My mother is a controller. She lent me this controversial trait and I am a perfectionist as well. Sometimes this serves as handy, but other times it comes across as being “bossy” and sometimes is very exhausting.

  34. Tapping furiously across the keyboard, the light from both monitors illuminated the vexation across his face. The controller center had a virus and it was up to him to stop it. Good luck..

  35. You use a controller to play games. A controller is something you use a lot if you like video games. Controllers are different colors. Controllers are useful. Controllers can be wired or wireless. Controllers are weird. Controllers, hm. They are just controllers. They are sold in many stores. Controllers

  36. that’s what you are. you sit like a puppet master in your upstairs room. rarely coming down, only to eat, and feed off the sweet flavor of anger you seem to get every time you look at us. you tell us what to do, as a seargent who’s never satisfied, relishing in the opportunity to tell us we’re doing it wrong.

  37. today i saw a girl through her window picking dead leaves off a dying houseplant it made me sad like i was eavesdropping on her sorrow until i realized the girl was me

  38. God is the controller of all.

  39. Why are you so controlling? Why do you yield this power over me? Why do I let myself fall for all of your foolish crap? Why am I the one crying while you walk all over me? Why can’t I be stronger than I am? Why are you such a controller?

  40. “Its a silly term.”

“You know what the fuck I mean!”

“We’re doing Yoda speak now? Very good with words you are.”

“Fuck you. I’m done with your condescension and nazi grip.” and with that he grabbed his coat and huffed out of the apartment.
