I feel like I am constantly losing control. I wish I could gain more control over my life. Which is really ironic because I am a control freak. It is like I can’t control certain things in my life so I lose control as a reaction to not having control. It is scary, and I want nothing more than to get control of my life again. I am scared that I am getting so out of control. I need to recognize that there are things I cannot control.
Control. It’s that thing that keeps me in my seat when I know I’ve been wronged, and steadies my voice when I feel like screaming. I have been wondering lately, though, how would it be if I had a little less?

I have control over everything. I control my thoughts, my emotions, my reactions and how I treat the world around me. Everyone has control over themselves. So why is the blame always pointed away from yourself? Why do you never stop and ask why you did something rather than why the universe played a trick on you.
There you sit, in your little black box, telling me to GO, just like that, you command me to write for sixty seconds, anything, on the theme of control. Boy you got me under your thumb.
Control is the essence of nothingness. If one tries to control, one cannot write, one cannot walk, one cannot live. Even if one sits in a windowless room on the floor looking at the wall, attempting to hold all variables constant, it is impossible to control. Ones thoughts will wander, the light will chance.
I hate the grey men who control other people of rainbow color, rainbow color distracts the grey traffic and leads to jam. Traffic jam and cinnamon strawberry marmelade.
Control top pantyhose. My mother thinks they are a form of social control, controlling women by making them conform to expectations of beauty that inflict pain and discomfort. But I disagree. Yes, they make me more attractive and men don’t have to suck in their tummies in a layer of lycra, but also my skin lacks surface tension and thus the control imposed by a fabric on top makes everything feel so much more under control.

Here I am. I’m in control. My feet on the soft, cold ground. My hair a mess and tangled- like a spiderweb. My make-up seemed across my face from the previous night. But I stand tall and firm and I carry all the confidence in my eyes- not my stride. You’d never guess I was in control from the outside. But on the inside I am here… in control.
Oh my god. I am a control freak and by being a control freak you actually have no control at all. I worry so much about everything that my life is a mess and truly out of control. The best way for me to be in control is to let go and let things happen as they should. This shows up on the dance floor as well when I sometimes fight the lead of the man. I know I need to work on that. Its’ a very visible way of control as opposed to some of the more subtle forms of control. I just have to remember all I need to do today is to breathe in and out and to let go. Because I don’t have control of anything unless I let life flow around me.

Having complete control over people is impossible. Freewill come through overtime. There is no such thing as complete control. Control is the influence to direct people behavior or course of events. Control is hard to come by now a days.
