  2. This website is an interesting concept. I don’t know how the developer came up with it but I think it’s the best way to get warmed up for writing. Just open up my mind and dump my ideas into the keyboard. I don’t even have to look. How many words can I type before I run out of time? I think PLENTY! This is the exercise. This is the concept. Just keep typing. Open my MIND. Free my words. Let them flow.

  7. A bundle of ideas, but not often an abundance of said things. It’s the raw start of something, something that might grow to be great. But it has to grow, therefore you must water and nourish it.

  22. I like to think about concepts, but often none will come. When you try too hard your mind just empties and the clouds roll in to fog your thoughts. When you really find a good concept it is not by choice, merely a flicker of thoughts that comes into full bloom unwarranted.

  25. A concept is something that’s hard to come by, honestly, but easy to avoid and destroy. Conceptually is an over-used word in the creative arts and I’ve never understood why high concept means dumb and dumber in Hollywood. I need more time for my concept to be fully fless

  31. Concept. Conception. It bothers me that I can’t figure out why I have less of a problem with infanticide than I do with abortion. Morality is largely dictated by feeling. It bothers me that that bothers me, and that I care to have my feelings grounded in fact. It bothers me that I’ve been programmed to do so many things. I read about psychological characteristics that most people are unaware they have, and I found that most were true for me. Predictably irrational, or something.

  32. The concept of love is absolutely and utterly baffling. Nothing about it makes sense. But I think that’s the point. it’s not supposed to make sense. It’s supposed to be crazy and confusing and painful and euphoric all at the same time. Nothing about love makes sense, and that’s what makes it a beautiful concept. It’s random.

  37. As soon as it’s hard to get a grasp on the true idea behind a story, you realise that it just hasn’t been written well. There are many reasons why something may be a terrible story, but if you can’t even grasp the concept covering the whole thing, geez – that’s tough.
