While smoking is bad, it is also a rush which is addictive to the body. I do wonder however what it is about thme that make them so bad. Is there any way to get that rush without allowing all those toxic chemicals into your body. I dunno, it’s a mystery. However until then it’s plausible, even possibly, that they will be outlawed. Not really a shame.

nasty things, make you cough, don’t wanna do them anymore. I used to want to play soccer but then I started smoking and I got lazy. All I could do was think about the next one I was gonna smoke, it was really gross. I think my body finally said enough and I started having anxiety attacks.

ashes in my mouth. the taste of this taste, its warm in my teeth. sweat on your upper lip and smoke blowing out your mouth. could this be love?

I used to smoke cigarettes. I loved them. I loved everything about them – the way they tasted, the way it felt to have the first one of the day, even the way they smelled. I quit 5 months ago and found out 2 days later that I’m having a baby. My love of cigarettes isn’t worth harming my daughter.

everyone concentrates on the smoke:
black and dark and evil, twisted
as snakes coiling in dark water thick
as smog in a new york traffic jam angry
as fire being pulled into
thin tangled strings
hiding the white ashes,
quiet modest dust pale
as death settling comfortably
into lungs.

my mother smokes. She’s always smoked for as long as I’ve known her and even longer than that. She started young and so did most of the people she knew. I guess it was common back then and even farther back. If anything, I suppose, it’s something to do. I smoked a cigar once; it made me dizzy.

This is a medium of death. It is painful to see, painful to inhale, and, I imagine, equally painful to smoke. Perhaps the actual act of smoking is not so unpleasant, but the aftermath must be more brutal than the Civil War. It is difficult for me to understand why one would subject themselves to such a fate.

i could totally go for a cigarette right now. i have been thinking about it for about an hour. i am taking this as a sign to go have that cigarette right about now…

Cigarettes are a horrible thing. This is not to say that people should not smoke them, because each person she do what he or she pleases. But once one becomes addicted, cigarettes are a horrible thing. Especially with the cigarette tax that was just put into place. The last time I was in new york, I know a pack cost ten bucks! that right there is reason enough for me to never smoke a cigarette

I entered the room and she was smoking a cigarette. The room was filled with smoke and the overhead chandelier right above her added more mystery to the sight than light.

Casey’s smoke fell out of his mouth when he saw her.
She wasn’t pretty — far from it — but there was something about her. Something that didn’t want you to look away.

they are not tasty not funny kind of scary i don’t know they remind me of old men sitting in bars with one tucked between their wrinkled lips and tired housewifes wiping their wet hands on an apron and stepping outside to brush their hair behind their ears and just sit and be and think about how their life ended up.

She smoked her cigarette casually, as the rain fell around her, pouring forth from the dark sky. The water mixed with the blood on the ground, flowing in beautiful swirls down the gutter. She put the revolver back into her purse, and quietly strolled away from the corpse.

YUCK, it is amazing I have NEVER tried a cigarette. Both of my parents smoked, driving around in the car in the 70s with the windows cracked just a bit. No wonder we all had ear infections and crap. They should just REMOVE them from the market, everyone would be better off. Sorry if you smoke, but IDC. Cough!
Paula
I hate cigarettes they smell bad, are bad for your health, and the health of everybody around also suffers. Why should I be inconvenienced by the fact that you want to smoke a cigarette in public? It just doesnt make sense that the greater publice should have to suffer because of the bad habit of a few.

Cigarettes…they remind me of the distant past when I would always smell that lingering scent of smoke at my grandmother’s house. They remind me of my best friend, hurting himself by smoking so many cigarettes, and I can’t say that I don’t like the smell of it, cause I actually don’t really mind it. In fact, I might even like it. But they bring memories from now and then….and forever.

i love to smoke cigarettes. they taste so wonderful. some people hate me for the fact that i smoke so much but i say, if you don’t like my fire, then dont come around. I’ve quit smoking a couple of times. My most recent attempt was a in may of 2009 and it lasted about 3 months. While i stopped smoking i barely read at all. Since i’ve started smoking again (early august) i’ve ready about 18 books (its now early september). i dont know if thats sad or not

I’ve never smoked a cigarette before in my life, so who am I to judge the secondhand death sticks? Admittedly, I’m fond of the smell of cigarette smoke mingling with roasted nuts, reminding me of Manhattan, of excitement, of home.
