  1. in one hundred years there won’t be many of us left, the ones of us who are alive now. but the people who are alive then will be looking at the same stars as us, listening to the same songs as us, walking the same streets, eating the same foods, feeling the same emotions. don’t you think that’s strange? don’t you find that hard to understand?

  3. One hundred years had passed since the biggest war of the world. Llamas vs. Alpacas. I mean, alpacas, the cousins of the llamas, just never got as much attention, and they didn’t think that was fair at all. I don’t really blame them.

  4. At the turn of the century, a lot has changed. I’ve met some of my best friends in the 2000’s. Mostly I think I would’ve been better off if I never met them in the first place. Now I know what I’m missing. Ha!

  8. like the endless time passing by, those years that are lost and cannot be reclaimed by ancestors. I have not lived to see a full one, and probably never will, but don’t think i’d want to.

  11. what has changed in this past century? on the surface, maybe, but underneath there always has been and always will be the same age-old problems. and if they’re age-old, we know about them so need to make a change.

  12. I think of the universe. I don’t know why. I know a century is a hundred years but I can’t help but think of outter-space. I can’t imagine living for a whole century.

  13. This century is full of innovations. It also has its problems, unfortunately. Why can’t we just progress? Because mistakes help us learn. We should’ve learned by now…maybe that’s the point.

  15. It had been centuries since she’d seen him. Living through lifetime after lifetime, she’d never forgotten him. How strange, to see him just the same — blue eyes, brown hair, a quirk to his mouth like he was always in the middle of a jinx.

  18. This past 100 years has brought growth, both socially and technically, to the world that will never be understood. Our lives have changed completely, some for the better, and now our systems have been irrepably changed.
    There are few times in modern history that we’ve advanced so quickly.

  22. A century past, only 100 years and already I can’t picture it. Change just keeps gaining momentum. When will it hit its apex? When will the world break out in chaos until change gradually slows to an inevitable halt?

  23. i think of a rhinosaurus. i don’t know why. a century is a hundred years and i’m thinking of a grey wrinkled creature? they have giant feet. I wouldn’t want to be crushed. That horn of theirs is giant!

  25. It’s interesting to think about how much I’ve changed over just the past few years. I used to think that one song, 100 Years, by Five for Fighting, was just sort of overly cute and happy-sounding, but now I really like it. That probably seems insignificant, but to me, the shift is massive.

  26. One would think, I could be set free, wiser, smarter; able to understand the world. Be an adult. Every time I speak to you, it brings me back to the century of old memories, a place where my life began.

  27. a century is a long, long time. a lifetime, if you’re lucky. i can’t believe that i was born in the last century. and at times wish i’d been born earlier in it, to have had more experiences in both. my kids will think i’m so old when i say i was born in not just the last century, but the last millennium.

  28. this is a 100 years. Time is marked in centuries. we are currently in the 21st century. I however was born in the 20th century. That sounds like I am really old. But it is a bit special to have lived in 2 centuries. That will be it though!

  29. Of course many things can happen in a century. You could be born, you could die, and you could learn how to cook bacon all in the same century. Of course, centuries ago, bacon would take a few decades to heat up, as fire had not yet been invented.

  32. as a kid i though it was amazing that my grandparents were born in the previous century–good lord that was ancient history. and now i find myself shocked hwnen my own kids say wasn’t that back in the 1900s?

  33. i really didnt care about living at the change of the century. i dont know if anyone really does. nothing special happened because of it, although I guess it gave a pretty cool plotline for futurama. what a good show.

  40. One century has 100 years. Such a long long time. I wonder what can happen in such a long time. WHAT WILL I DO? will i get married? will i have kids? A career? What am i going to be remembered for after one century?
