  1. A Cello is a instrument that I know nothing about so have fun with this. But i have never seen one or known anyone who can play one.

  2. She pulled the bow to the strings, and looked at the crowd one last time. Her father’s words echoed in her head and reminded her not to think, just do. He caught her eye, and smiled while her mother winked at her. She knew that she was ready.

  4. The sound fills my ears. I feel a sense of calmness as the music soothes me. It flows through my ears and leaves a sense of relief when is leaves. My eyes open and the musician takes a bow. She makes her way off the stage with her shiny, golden-brown instrument, but before she makes it to the curtain, her toes are taken hostage by the floorboard. Her body leaps forward with her arms flailing in the air. She makes a thud and lands on her stomach. Beside her lays pieces of the once formed cello. She stares at it and tears fill up her eyes. The one thing that relieved some people of the suffering they go through every day is now gone. We destroy things without even meaning to, and now all we have is destruction.

  5. This word reminds me of the movie, “If I Stay”. This movie is about a girl who grows up playing the cello because her parents taught her how to play. Soon her parents die and she gives up on playing the cello, but eventually finds herself playing again. She goes to a music school and lives out her dreams. This movie truly spoke to me because it says “You may have bumps in the road, but always strive to be your best.”

  6. The cello demands strength, intelligence, and skill. The grand instrument possesses a range close to that of the human voice. A cello is played in a sitting position, but can be mastered in a standing stance. Travel will be difficult, but it is possible. Just be sure to buy an extra seat for your treasure. Many things will be a hassle to do with your cello, but the reward of powerful music will always be there to counter the negatives.

  7. The cello reminds me of my ex best friend. She loves music and she plays the cello and clarinet. Once I went to her house and she told me her dream was to play the bass on stage, in front of a lot of people and then she said that I should have been in the first row. I still think that she has the powe to do it.

  8. The sounds of my neighbors cello could be heard from down the street. Sadly, I’m right next door. The poor kid sounds like he’s skinning a cat.

  9. Cello is a weird word. I dont know what it means but its just cell with an o after it. Apparently it is pronounced chello but it just has a c which is dumb.

  10. The man began to play on his biggest cello in his collection. The sound was deep yet sweet and it began to shake the whole room with the brassy sound. It was his dream to one day play in one of the biggest auditoriums and it was set on making it there.

  11. The bow was drawn slowly across the strings. A soft, moaning bass note filled the hall, and pierced my heart. There was more emotion in that one note from the cello than I had ever felt in my life.

    by Wes on 01.24.2019
  12. The cello is a large instrument that you play with a stick similar to a violin but just a lot bigger. I have never played one but they look pretty cool.

    by Brian on 01.24.2019
  13. Swiftly and graciously, the bow danced across the strings, producing sweet low tenor notes for the pleased ears of the audience. Softly and sweetly the low chords sang, until tragedy struck, and the old bow snapped. The mellow tones were replaced with a sharp “TWANG!” and utter humiliation from the cellist.

  14. The first thing that pops into my mind is the scene from Back to the Future, where Marty is telling the band how to play. During all of this, you can clearly see the big cello in the background and it seems to play an important part. It also makes me think of the orchestra and the harmony of the brass and strings.

  15. when i think of this word the first thing that comes to mind is Monticello. Monticello is a small town right by Champagne, Illinois. My cousins live there. Their names are Megan, Ali, and Brady. They’ve been in my life for as long as i can remember. My family and I have always argued but when they come down to Fairfield, or when we go up to Monticello, my family is never arguing. We all play games and have so much fun together.

  18. The towering neck eccentuated by thin strands of mustache reaching below, lazily curling up at its end. A voice deep, soft, only occasionally trailing off with a gravelly hum. Weight against your shoulder, a comforting closeness, even with your eyes shut he speaks, and the sweet tone of his voice, the one only for you,
is all the reassurance you need.

  19. It’s my birthday and I wrote a whole long entry but it all got erased and I am far too lazy to re-write it. Basically–I have such kind and tender friends and I love them and they love me and that is so wonderful. And also, I spent the day doing homework and reading and it was peaceful–I’m reading Elizabeth Bishop’s letters and they are getting depressing and I feel v. bad for her. Anyway, g o o d b y e world.

  20. The music waxed and waned in his ears, as he tried desperately to get a solid tone going. But he couldn’t. For all his efforts he was just as unbalanced as he had been when the song started. Only now he was far sadder. He had failed.

  21. Of course a cello would be more powerful. It just wouldn’t be prudent on the road. If I was a royal bard at a fine castle would be different. But out here… we’d need another horse just to carry it!

  22. Bach’s cello suite # 1 haunted the lobby. It flowed across marbled floors and wrapped around the ornate columns by the reception desk.

    by Justin on 01.23.2019
  23. The sound of a cello is like a fresh wave over me. It soothens my senses. It warms my insides and feels like rich, oozing honey.

    by Conundrum on 01.23.2019
  24. The mournful sound of the cello was almost too much for her heart to bear today. She turned the volume down, but not all the way off. Perhaps the melancholic background would south her soul, but she didn’t want to be aware of it while it was happening. Back to work. Back to work. Back to…

  25. Ive never played the cello but I think it would be fun. I never seen anybody paly the cello in my family, extended family or just anybody in general. I prefer the piano but I would give the cello a try at one point in my life.

  26. His fingers thrummed the strings, sending vibrations through the heavy instrument. He sat back, ran his thumb along the smooth, dark wood. His eyes lifted above the stand to the rest of the ensemble, lost in the rhythm of the sound.

  27. Colten plays an instrument called a cello. He plays music in an orchestra.

    by LaCrecia Hagood on 01.23.2019
  28. MY brother played the cello when he was my age, it was not his favorite but I enjoyed it , having a big brother that played an cello motivated me to play the violin. Now my older brother just plays the Guitar, but talks often of the cello

  29. she spoke to him like the low notes of a cello. mild symphonies like b flats and deep dark gs. she spoke in one fluid motion and never stopped until the conductor in her mind lowered his hands. she made the music that soothed his ears when as he sat in the audience, a mere spectator of her performance. but when the lights came back on in the theater, she was no longer at peace or in tune. she was a wooden instrument robbed of its strings.

  31. It’s interesting to me how connected music (even with no lyrics) can be to our emotions.

  32. Walter plays the cello, while Zelda plays the flute. The cellist looks best in a floral dress, and the flutist is good in a suit. They perform conciertos together, to filled up houses and halls. And once the applause has finally died down, they celebrate at galas and balls. They drink champagne and smile before going home at first light. And they’ll practice their latest pieces until the dawn mutates into night.

  34. The young man sat down in his dark room. He pulled out his very prized and cherished cello. He begins to play a soft, slow melody. It continues to build until the sounds of the cello are echoing the halls of his home. The melody and tunes climbing the home and filling it with the beautiful sounds of his cello.

  35. A cello is a string instrument that is about three feet tall. It is commonly used to play classical music in orchestras. It has a tone that is deeper than a violin but lighter than a bass.

    by April Stone on 01.23.2019
  36. I think the cello is a very relaxing instrument. I’ve never played any instruments. So I’m not really the biggest fan of classical music. Nor do I not like it. It’s just not my first music choice.

    by Alexandria on 01.23.2019
  37. Tocaba el instrumento con una maestría sobrenatural, pero era notorio que la cellista adelgazaba cada vez más. No sólo era la música, había algo más en el encanto. El arco estaba hecho de su propio cabello y las cuerdas con sus propios intestinos.

  38. Cellooo, are you there? I’ve wanted to straddle a cello for about a year. I want to express myself through the melancholic chords and make people feel something real. Real is the most important feeling to feel.

  39. The cello was brand new and polished. Jonathan ran his hands over the strings, his eyes fluttering for a moment as he plucked out a E flat. He could almost hear the symphony around him as he pictured himself on stage. Then his father barked at him for touching stuff they couldn’t afford. Jonathan dropped his hands and walked away.

  40. She held the cello between her thighs, her bow moving smoothly over the strings as she lost herself in the music. It took a long time for her to notice someone was watching her. When she did, she almost stopped playing.
