  6. I had broken my arm and I was really cared about it. I went to the doctor and they told me that I would need to get a cast so I thought I might as well just deal with what I needed to deal with. He told me to pick a color, so I chose all the colors he had.

  7. They had to put me in a cast. The thing itched like none other. I was happy when they told me my friends could sign it though. My mom bought me a pack of sparkle sharpies so my friends could write their names and draw pretty pictures for me. No one really asked about how I go the cast. I wasn’t about to tell them my secret. No one needed to know the truth.

  8. she took off the yellow cast on her leg. for months now she hadn’t changed it. what would my leg look like? filled her head. she unwrapped it and her leg appeared completely disfigured; you could hardly recognize that it was a leg.

  11. He cast his net once again, and pulled back nothing. It was the third night in a row that his efforts bore no fruit, or fish as it were, and he was really getting tired of it. If he had to return home empty-handed, again, Hanna would be furious. He was supposed to have heaps of seafood for Saturday’s cookout with the in-laws, and that just wasn’t going to happen.

  13. A cast puts together a play. The play is incomplete without a strong, marvelous cast and without that strong, marvelous cast, the play is nothing. The cast is the muscle and bone to a play and they add personality to the script.

  16. reminds me of the cast in a play. I’m not really an actor… but I’ve seen several Broadway musicals. Wicked (saw it twice), Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Mary Poppins… all very good with excellent cast members.

  22. We have all been cast as the stars in our lives, yet most of us don’t use that privilege. Most of us decide to act out other parts, forgetting the essence of our own characters. We are wasting away the play we call our life.

  23. I am in love with the cast of the Harry Potter movies. I don’t know why. Rupert Grint is my favorite. My friends laugh at me because he’s not the hottest or the most talented, but… he’s a really sweet guy, you know? If acting doesn’t work out, he’s planning on driving an ice cream truck. That’s AWESOME.

  26. THe cast of a musical has one seriously close bond. You going in all hesitant and anxious and strange and by the end of the production you’d rather spead time with them than your own family. Plus, if you break a leg, you need a cast :)

  27. casts are vicious circles of people pretending to be someone or groups of other people. not necesarily fake.. but they are paid to pretend. thats what all actors are aren’t they? the world throwws everyone a position. this is theirs. they work to pretend.

He sent his fly soaring through the air one last time and flicked it against the surface of a shady pool nestled under a fallen tree. He touched the surface once more, still nothing. He crossed towards the left side of the river and pulled his old sneakers, heavy with the cool water, out of the muck. He tramped up the hill over the soft ground, through the forest. He got into his car and went home.

  32. In a play? That would be so amazing. I wish I were a better actress – I always feel that need for validation from other people about my talents, especially the performing arts. When will I be able to come out of my shell and just put myself out there? Confidence is needed in a good actor, right?
