With a flick of my fingers, every bow and arrow snapped, and the wooden chairs grew branches that twisted around the ankles and wrists of every person in the room. They gasped in fear in and pain.

I don’t like to bow after performances. I just want to share my music with the world, I don’t want them to applaud me for it. I just want them to like it and listen and understand- no gratification required.
“Take a bow!” everybody was yelling. The child stood, rooted to the ground. It was as if he was a tree, unable to unnaturally bend himself at the middle of his torso. The nervousness gripped him uncontrollably, even though he had just finished his outstanding performance.
Long and thin it stood out in front of him without letting him turn back and he saw the way to get back, get back at everthing, everyone; the bow meant what could be, what could have been. The bow standing out against the black sky, irradiating an odd green light… it reminded him of the inner Forest.
I tied the ribbon around my waist, making a perfect little bow. The dress was one he picked out. The whole thing was perfectly suited to his tastes. A year ago, I’d have never though to try it. But now is different.
I think of the movie mulan where the evil guy says:bow to me. And then the emperor starts talking about that no matter how much the wind howls, the mountain will not bow to it.<3
