  2. I believe in myself. I believe that I will graduate from college and that I will become who I want to be. What do I want to be? I will figure that out. I want to be happy.

    by phillie on 03.09.2009
  3. What do I believe in these days? I believe there is more to life than school and more to life than work. I believe that the world is generally a good place, but that I have to do something to help keep it that way. I believe we should all laugh more and that we can learn a lot about happiness from four year olds and goofy black shelter dogs that like to sleep all day in the sunshine.

    by E on 03.09.2009
  4. I believe in a difference. I believe in a difference in the way we live, in the way we perceive the Earth and the resources it allows us. I believe we must take a stand. We must educate those around us, we must make people want to make a difference, want to believe that there is another way. I believe I can be a part of that change, and so here I am. RECYCLE.

  5. I believe that this opportunity is going to be the one that I’ve been looking for. I believe in God. I believe in ghosts. I believe in my friends. I might believe in aliens. I definitely believe that I need to get some exercise tomorrow, and more sleep every day.

  6. It’s hard to believe that I still hurt. It’s been a long time, but the pain feels just as fresh. I tell myself I am over you, but then it all comes back. In five seconds I feel every emotion from those two months of heaven and hell. What you did to me can never go away. I’m forever damaged for it, and you are to blame.

    by Marissa on 03.09.2009
  7. I believe in good energy. I believe that surrounding yourself with those that are good and by doing good to others, you form a protective invisible shield around you as you make your way through life, helping to keep negative energy and bad things from happening to you. It helps.

  9. I believe that I’ll have another scotch…or so says Ron White in the Blue Collar Comedy Tour movie. I saw him in concert a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely hilarious.

In my mind, I find the Blue Collar comedy guys intriguing. They have such a simple view of life, although I guess you can do that when you have as much money as they do!

  13. It takes a lot to believe in someone. You have to trust them. They have to be able to listen to you without saying or doing something stupid. I sometimes have a hard time deciding who I can tell something to. I know some of my friends would laugh and that’s not what I want. I know one guy that listens well though. I haven’t known him for long, but he’s trustworthy and I believe in him. He’s always there for you when you need him.

  14. Believe- God-Creation? Evolution-Big Boom? Choose. Which one satisifies your belief system?

    by Tierra on 03.09.2009
  15. Believe. Wow, believe. Its such a powerful word when it comes down to it. You always hear seeing is believing- but is that really true? Honestly- If you see someting is it a gaurentee that you’ll believe it? Say I see my boyfriend hanging all over some chick, this dosn’t mean i won’t deny this event even though I witnessed this event.

    by Tierra on 03.09.2009
  16. believe in what you see but seeing is deceiving so believe in what you feel but feeling is deceiving so believe in yourself. but you’re a bloody fool, aren’t you. so believe in it. and believe you shall.

  17. these kind of hazy half-thought-through things i’ve been told never quite connected with this semi-brilliance of a mind.

i’d rather spend my days sleeping to noon
and save my nights for that nonexistent lover who i’ve been told is going to appear suddenly one day like a magic trick.

Reality’s no magic trick, but I’ve been told i’m just living in a
    dream, anyways.

i’ve been told a lot of things, and the only thing that i’ve learned is to not
    believe.

  18. What I wish I could do every minute of every day. Believe if me. Believe in God. Believe in the safety and longevity of my daughter’s life. Believe in my higher Self. Believe that everything is right with the world, and as Max Ehrmann says in Desiderata – The Universe is unfolding as it should.

    by Mitzi on 03.09.2009
  19. I believe. You believe. So what. Air. That’s all those beliefs are. Just air. You and I will fight over air? That’s dumb. Men do that. They kill over their beliefs. Of course, there are those women who will do the same as if their very existence depended on those beliefs that are….nothing. Just air. Okay. I won’t say that to a zealot. They’ll just become crazy mad. I had having a conversation with someone who is crazy mad. I just end up walking away. I’ve done that a lot, you know.

  20. I believe that we are all created equal. It is what we do with your equalities that help us create our inequalities. If we could do away with being equal at birth, and be born unequal. Could we then strive to be truly equal.

    by Anthony on 03.09.2009
  21. everyone can believe. we don’t have to if we don’t want to, but what is the point of living if we can’t? i believe that if i cannot believe or am not allowed to believe, then my purpose on this earth is just to stand around and let the time go by. i believe in faith. faith is my belief.

    by marc on 03.09.2009
  22. I believe in beliefs. One sole person can have an impact on the entire world just due to what they believe in. People come together in life based upon what they believe in; it reveals one’s true self.

    by Laura on 03.09.2009
  23. I don’t believe you. You’re a liar. You’ve never said an honest word in your life. With friends like you, who needs enemies? It makes no nevermind to me that you say this time you’re giving it to me straight.

    by JM on 03.09.2009
  24. I believe we are here. I believe you are there. I believe you di me wrng and now i have to kill you.

  25. I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty. Maker of Heaven and Earth, of all that is seen and unseen. I believe in the trees and the grass and my toes, because I can see them, touch them, feel them. I believe in you because I have seen you do great things. I believe in me– because I am never without myself.

    by mallory on 03.09.2009
  26. ohohoho no. no no no no no. this is a Bad Word To Have. i don’t like to talk about it. there are lots of things about which i do not like to talk, and belief is one of them. if i don’t believe anything, i can never be called gullible and i can never be called wrong. also i can never offend anyone by believing something they don’t.
it would be so great if it were actually true.

  27. “Do you believe?”

That’s what the priest asked me on that fateful night. A flash of lightning illuminated the dark cathedral immediately after he made the inquiry, and a ear-splitting crack of thunder followed.

“No,” I responded. “I do not believe.”

    by vish on 03.09.2009
  28. I believe in a God who can save my soul. And I’ve always wondered why people had such a hard time accpeting the fact that He wants to. . . but now I’m experiencing that. I can’t be chosen, why does he love me? I’m so. . . horrible.

    by Me. on 03.09.2009
  29. She wanted to believe that his intentions were pure. She knew that they were, but there was some part of her that could not accept it. It squirmed and writhed with anxiety and anguish every moment they were apart. It could not accept the clear indications that he truly cared for her, and it was eating away at her.

  30. Believing is seeing
    or maybe it’s not–
how many times has the intangible
gotten tangled in the mess of vision and hearing,
the ejaculate of moments puddling on the floor–
    believing is seeing,
it is an acquiescing and a refusal–
the air lifts up, gravity weighs us down–
let levity beat out the brevity of facts, checkbooks
    and calendars.

  31. I used to be a believer, but life decided to hate me. Believing brought nothing but pain, disappointment and sorrow, and I find myself incapable of believing in anything anymore, because, is anything really believable anymore? We’re all liars.

    We’re lying to ourselves.

  33. I believe in something. I’m not sure exactly what it is yet but I know in my mind that something has to be going on. Something bigger than science and logic; something that can’t be explained or even comprehended. There’s something out there that we have no idea about, but I have a feeling we’re about to find out.

    by Johnathan on 03.09.2009
  34. I don’t know what to believe in. Things are always shifting and fluid. Everything changed. One day everything is fine, the next they’re spiraling out of control.
Sometimes things are wonderful. Then they’re not. It just happens.
I believe in aeroplanes and sunny days and clouds. Solid things.

  35. Believe…
    I see the same word
    each time on this page
but I have nothing to write.
    I have nothing to believe.
    Why should I ?
    WHY SHOULD I?
    Somebody tell me…
    Please…
    Someone..
    Help…

  36. he was a postmodern shipwreck. the vessel had left in the late 60s and sailed into the void of pop oblivion. things began leaning toward thinking and casualness and then like dominoes, fell completely out of belief. but belief always believes in itself.

  40. Belief is one thing that can change the tide of wars, change what people are, and make everyone better or worse. Something so simple… Better than knowing, its almost a leap of faith at times. Something which bears in mind that it can also be shattered and finish what could have been peaceful.
