  10. The battery died in nine seconds flat, without warning or reason. They were new, I swear, but they had some sort of a personal vendetta against me. Fucking things. I hate cheap batteries to no end.

Now I need to buy new ones. Darn it.

  11. This world batters against me today. Being forgotten, pointe shoes beating my feet into submission, running all the way to a concert I was supposed to have a ride to, did I mention being forgotten? A battery of cruelty breaks me down today, and I can’t seem to recover.

  16. So I went to the store to find a double-A battery for my mouse and when I got there, there were too many to choose from, so I had a chance to browse around. As I was browsing, I saw the typical other batteries, like triple-A, 9-Volt, etc. But then I saw this new one called a Quadruple-A, and I still, to this day, have no idea where you’d even use one of those. It’s smaller, and I can’t imagine a device that would take it. Maybe something I don’t want to know about.

  23. Batteries are incredibly useful. I used to have all these toys that take batteries, but I never had any! Dad would always have to make a special trip on Christmas Day to get us all batteries for our new toys. It sucked for him, but we all got to play with everything we got!

You need batteries for lots of things ….. your car, children’s toys. adult’s toys …… Imagine the child’s disappointment when they get a present for Christmas and it won’t work because they haven’t got any batterie.
