fixed
I don't like the word 'fixed', because then it sounds like something is broken. I don't like the word 'broken'. I think 'broken' makes everything seem hopeless, because if something has been broken once, it will probably get broken again. I like to think that nothing needs 'fixed'. Things can be 'helped', 'rehabilitated', 'worked-on' but nothing should have to be 'fixed'. I feel things aren't as simple as they seem.
ratings
I don't see things in numbers. When people ask me to 'rate' something from 1 to 10, I really don't know what to do. I could rate something on a scale of brown to yellow, peas to macaroni and cheese, ants to cats, Moneyball to The Goonies, but not from 1 to 10.
pageant
Sandra Bullock. She was in a pageant. It doesn't seem like there should be that second 'a' in pageant. It really doesn't. That trips me up sometimes. Not that I write the word 'pageant' very often. I don't. I usually only speak of pageants when I'm talking about Toddler's and Tiara's, which I guess is a little sad because television is so very annoying.
