sigh
Sigh. The man had never sighed. He had grunted, mumbled, murmured, whine, chided, belittled, and praised. This new sound was inconvenient.
palette
He steadied his palette as he carefully drew his brush across the canvas. "You're such a TOOL!" She screamed at him. "Thank you." "I don't think you know what I mean." "Oh, a palette is a tool. A necessary and beloved tool. You must love me." She was silent.
velvet
The planet was swampy and wet. The only fauna were small, gelatinous, and creepy. Carniverous. Except for the snails. They were actually friendly and would attach themselves to our uniforms as we trudged along. Then we found out that they left a velvet trail of acid.
spellbind
I wanted to spellbind her to me. I looked into her eyes and she smiled. Then she looked past me at something. I was startled and looked behind me. Nothing. When I looked back, she was gone like smoke in the wind. I know I'll never see her again.
