  1. “The physics engine just isn’t working right. And I can’t find the bug!” Courtney slammed her fist down on the desk. The coffee cup next to her hand tipped precariously from the quake, threatening to spill out over her keyboard.

  2. I know nothing about physics and am I not qualified by any means to write about it. I s’pose I could write about how little I know about it. But that would take me to about the end of this sentence.

  3. Sometimes I’ll just hrow around the word ‘physics’ to explain something that I have absolutely no explanation for. I’m not even sure what physics *is* but I kinda figure most people don’t either, so I am usually pretty confident that if I use it as I do, no one will bother calling me out bc they won’t know what do say.

  4. He tossed the coin up in the air–badly, of course; he’d never learned how to flip one properly, easy as it may be, and he wasn’t about to try now that he was in his late thirties and losing brain plasticity by the ounce. It was really too bad he hadn’t had anyone to teach him.

  5. Eeeeeee!!! You’re taunting me, you’re taunting me. Physics, so beautiful, so wonderful, so challenging. I gave you four years of my life, and I hope I added to your story. I hope my research takes you further. I’m sorry I’m not doing a PhD this year. I need to try this path, test these waters. But you will always be a part of everything I do. I see the world in new ways now. Studying you has made me so much better.

  6. Physics is my religion. The mysteries of what happens in the Universe, the interaction on the subatomic level. E=MC squared means nothing ever goes anywhere. Energy remains, is transferred, and shared. Physics gives me optimism.

  7. It’s impossible to understand how we got here or why, but we were undeniably floating through a space-time void on our way to a different time. My hands warped and swirled when I held them in front of my eyes, and I was mostly convinced that I was seeing what I was expecting to see and had no physical claim to existence at all.

  8. what is physics? physics is the branch of science and properties of matter and energy.

  9. The physics teacher sat down on the bench, and sighed. Why, oh why, were his students like this? Why did they persist, in the absolute certainty that they knew better than him? This was his class, for Pete’s sake! It’s not his fault they hate it.

  10. Another exercise where i am to wrtie about the word physics. I remember Mr. McCord’s high school physics class. Mr. McCord would blow things up on a regular basis and that’s why I sat in the front row. Oh what a show. he was a genius though.

  11. I wrote this before, but the system will not send me the code to create an account. I’m so sad that I can’t keep my previous work, including this one about physics. Inside I am a river. and there’s still time…

  12. He braced himself for his next class. Finally, the end of the day was in sight. With a swig from the drawer he reminded himself that these were his star pupils. These were the students that had excelled in his previous chemistry classes with ease. These were the ones with the birght shining faces and minds.

  13. Physics is a class that I am not looking forward to taking. I hear that it is hard, and that it takes a long time to learn. Although, if I put a lot of effort into it, I think I will be able to understand it.

  14. “Are you out of your mind? You can’t go public with this thesis!”

“I am not crazy and it isn’t a thesis anymore! I proved it! And I will give my statement. I am a physicist, a man of science. If I don’t go public with this, someone else will. You know that it’s only a question of time. There will be someone else who finds out. You know that as sure as I will. ”

“You want to end up like Oppenheimer then?”

“Don’t be ridiculous. There simply is no-”

“-If you take credit for proving it, Oppenheimer can rest in peace because you’ll take his place. An atomic bomb is nothing compared to what they’ll do once they find out-”

“For christ’s sake, stop interrupting me! My decision is definite. I will inform the public within the next two hours. There is nothing you can do to stop me, so will you please be so kind as to get out of my way?”

  15. They say the laws of physics are unbreakable, but I knew I would be the first to disprove that belief. Growing up, they told me my dreams were unachievable, that I would never make them come true, but I still laughed at them, knowing they were wrong.

  16. I got a new toy at the coop the other day and it is a bird that bobs it’s head. I think it’s got a chemical in that makes it keep drinking the water. I don’t know if that’s physics or chemistry. It’s cute and entertaining to watching. the blue liquid has a low boiling point so the cold water causes it to move up and down ever 2 minutes or so.

  17. here is what I know: gravity is what keeps us bound to the ground. here is what I don’t know: why birds can fly and I cannot, why the sky is so blue, why
I can’t soar into space and drown in the stars.

  19. I hate physics. It was really hard for me to do this in college. I had a freind help me. She was good at it. I made a good grade in this class beacuse of her. My professor was stinky. He talked way way way to loud. And it is so hard to think about that.

  20. I thought maybe the way we moved toward each other was just a fluke of physics – that the elements around us simply pushed us closer together as if gravity was pulling from the space between us. But your body was warm – really warm. And I felt my hands tremble as you gripped my wrists. And we ignored the movie in front of us, and the people around us chewing loudly on popcorn kernels.

  21. The physics of the situation was all wrong. It was hard to imagine that they were compatible entities. She was moving along, mass times acceleration, and he was a coefficient of static friction. She was momentum, he was drag.
And yet, there was something in the transfer of energy that made sense.

  22. We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita; Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and, to impress him, takes on his multi-armed form and says, “Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.” I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.

  23. I was in physics class and Mr Mouse was staring at me, or should I call him Mr Rat. We call him this as he looks so much like a mouse but because he’s so cruel we call him Mr Rat.

  24. I thought I was into physics in highschool, but after my professor nearly hit me with a hammer (by accident) I dropped the class. I never found out whether or not I was into physics.
