Rules can be good in many different situations, such as softball and football. But also they can be very annoying such as when they say no trotting on a horse trailride. Duh its a horse ride you are supposed to trot!

Rules are like laws. You have to follow them in order to have a better life. We should always follow the rules, and do what is right!
By Giraffe URL on 11.21.2011
rules are what you follow so you do not get in to trouble

The things that we have that are meant to be broken. These are rules. The things that every or most kids hate. A rule at our school is no chewing gum. Isn’t that retarded.

My parents have strict RULES for me to keep me safe.
Show Low Jr. high RULES.
We all have to have RULES to live life.
People do not follow RULES.
I am writing about RULES.
By pinkydinkydoo URL on 11.21.2011
too rigid. I don’t think rules are always good. as a member we have to follow them. because they are necessary For example if we don’t follow the rules, it will be terrible to imagine it’s results.
By hmk on 11.21.2011
Rules are sometimes hard to follow, but if you don’t follow them correctly everything could go wrong. Rules can be used to guide a small child, classroom, or even a game. Rules can help someone build a building, sew a curtain, or even save lives.
By Tori Giles URL on 11.21.2011
No clue about rules. :( All I can say is that not following them can be dangerous, more than we can imagine… rules are necesary.
By Keila URL on 11.21.2011
Am I breaking the rules by doing what I already did. I am in a state ..I am feeling a feeling..that does not care about rules..I am tapping into a dimension that does not “get” rules..that see’s no importance or reason to even try to conceptualize rules..I am tapping into a part of me that cleary see’s rules as a unporductive harmful practice of insanity.

Rules suck. It’s a simple throwaway remark. But is it all? Maybe our appreciation of rules grows as we wise up and mature. Rules are the structures that make our lives more enjoyable, more meaningful, more cooperative. Rules make sense of the world. Rules mean respect.

Rules. There are always rules. I prefer the ones that I make for myself – they are the easiest to follow. Well, sometime perhaps not that easy, but at least they make sense. No political agenda, just what I feel is right for me at the time. And the rules can change … evolve, if you will.

Rules are made to be broken :)

The rules don’t apply to me, he thought. It’s not like I belong here anyway, and I don’t need to deal with this. He raised his hand; the teacher caught his gaze then quickly looked away. That’s right, she’s afraid of me. With good reason, too. Forget these rules, forget this school. And he got up, and he walked out of the classroom.

One rule I’ve learned is to never say never. I swore I would never be with someone who cheated on me. I swore I wouldnt be with someone for money. I swore I would never stay with someone I knew I wouldn’t want to be with forever. I swore this time was different.
By J on 11.21.2011
The rules of life confuse me as you older you get the rules change. Rules are so simple when you are younger, but as you age the rules alter according to your life experience. I guess rules are made to be broken, as in life rules rule not.

I don’t like some of the rules we have.

Who defines the rules? Is it society or is it yourself? It’s a tricky topic to discuss, however I believe that you, yourself define the rules of your life. Whether or not you choose to follow the rest of society’s boundaries is a rule in itself.
By Annette on 11.21.2011
They were made to be broken, or so the old cliche goes, but Jeremy knew that once he walked through that door, life would never be the same again. It had taken him only a matter hours to realise that it was time, tonight he was going to break all the rules, every single one ending with the ultimate, taking a life.

I set them to break them
I set a trap for myself
so when I fall for the luscious mirage I fall hard
I become entrenched in a pit of mud
the walls so slippery they can’t be scaled
when I’m stuck so deep–
why would I ever be surprised?
By Christian URL on 11.21.2011
that they’re meant to
taken with little
but maybe they exist for
beyond you and me.
maybe they exist
to keep us

Rules are the boundaries that surround us and bind us. For some they are unnecessary constraints that chafe. For others, they are all the protection they have from the violence and offenses of others.
By Dixie URL on 11.21.2011
RULES! I don’t like giving people them. and i certainly don’t like pointless ones. such as, you can’t drive 86 on the highway. what is that about? it wasn’t hurting anyone and now im in a world of trouble. fuck. this is why i don’t give rules to others – they never help! they only make people dishonest. this is really wisconsin with all the dangling participles.
By letitbe URL on 11.21.2011
I don’t believe in rules. Rules are limits. Rules are standards. They’re merely a way to hold me back. And NOTHING holds me back.
