ive never had one of those but i guess their alright i mean they seem kind of intimidating but i guesss not if your on their good side. its like a teacher thats kind of a hard ass. you gotta pay attention and focus to be cool with them. just dont fuck up bc then you gotta regain their trust and shit. its understandable i mean someone has to be the boss and pull things together.

What a dick. Seriously, who the hell does that guy think he is? I’m here, busting my ass at a grocery store shelf stocking cans until my mind feels like it’s gone to soup, and he stalks over here and asks me to turn out my pockets. Like anything he sells I would want! Jesus, I wish I could just punch him. If only he knew who he was dealing with, and what I would do with him once I came into power.

She stared her manager in the face. It was going to be a contest, and she would not back down from this. She earned this time, and her vacation had been approved months before he got here, and tried to tell her she would not be allowed to go: but nothing was going to keep her from blue oceans and cabanna boys. Nothing not even this toned, blue eyed manager with the fashionably spikey hair.

weird. i guess managers work at stores across the country. managing things… i think my mum’s a manager. she certainly is at home, cause, let’s face it, she’s only been gone two weeks and the house is a mess ><!

it was a miracle that he’d been chosen: he knew that. He was in his thirties, he was white, and there were colored folk and women equally qualified for the position. Affirmative action had not been kind to his brothers nor his friends and he’d been sweating over the announcement for days. He wasn’t going to be picked, he’d told himself over and over again. Now he had been. He just wondered how in the world he was going to keep the position.

He was the one that always made sure that each family member’s wishes came through, at least the important ones. He knew to delegate and defer preferences, to remind his daughter that mom had taken her to the movie with fairies and that it was time for her to eat pasta with her grandmother at the restaurant with overstuffed chairs.

What is it that wars within me, causing me to feel claustrophobic in my own flesh. As if the whole of reality seeks to push itself through every orifice of my senses but is unable. Seeking the serenity of pure awareness, I become the manager of the Light within.

He sat at his desk thinking to himself.
“God I hate my job.”
Next thing you know, he had the bottle back out. The bottle of Tobasco. Full 40 oz. of Tobasco. He had promised his wife he was of the stuff, but he couldn’t resist. The depression was too much. With that, he unscrewed the cap and poured it onto his dog, because that shit is just too funny.
By Jason on 08.04.2011
How come it’s always manager? Where’s the other great words like “fart” or “dog?” I was hoping for something awesome like the word “TESTICULAR” or something other than manager. Managers are boring and depressing to be around. I don’t wanna write about them.
i am a good manager but also like to have others work with me to manage. i don’t have to be in charge, but I do need to feel respected and part of the team. When I manage, I try to do the same thing, to make sure that all members of the group feel valued and contributing. i am told I am a good manager and I aspire to be just that, with continuous improvement.

Manager is a person who leads proyects into sucess. Todays competitive enviorment needs managers for things to run smoothly. Managerial Science is the science of the futer.
By Alejandro Viluce on 08.04.2011
Being a manager meant being in-charge. At least, that was what he was told. Mr. Peppercorn, as he was now called, instead of plain old Steve. The power he felt was immense, but all he did was move three small feet into a corner office, instead of the crammed cubicle in the center of the ‘paper jungle.’

“I would like to speak to the manager,” he said firmly.
She whistled once more, but feebly. Dejectedly, she nodded her head and her tentacles drooped sadly as she turned to go get him.

I already wrote a post about the word manager. Or was it all a dream? Dear me, I can’t even remember if I’ve done this word before or not. I am 100% positive now, that I have done this word. I hope I get a new word next time. Perhaps I’ll get a word like Airplane, or monkey.
By Hannah on 08.04.2011
Oh why is it this word today?
Ashley is a manager and she manages. She manages well. She tries to turn me into something I’m not and I oblige as best I can. I smile without cease. I don’t even remember why or that I’m doing it. It’s a good thing I’m so good at faking sex.
I have a crush on the male manager. It’s against the rules. More rules than one I broke tonight.

A man worked in a dusky, and dank old dungeon. Why did he work in this dungeon? Only one person knew the answer to this question. Only one soul knew what so little knew. The manager.
By Ally on 08.04.2011
I don’t know. I think work. This is pretty cool. But I think work, responsibility.. Some power. This is an interesting topic because there are so many ways to look at it. Manager, to manage… To take care of. To raise, grow, prosper… Hell, parent? Yeah.. Back to work..

We can break down words at a wide range of levels. Some are easier than others, you can break them like glass. The word manager is definitely one of those. Why is our society taking so long in breaking through it? Man. Age.
Where is our radical feminism?

My manager was an ass today. I was fired for needing to use the restroom. In the restroom he told me that not only was I a “slacker” but that I hadn’t been spending enough time at the office.
By Lennon on 08.04.2011
I looked into his glasses, and saw nothing but my own reflection staring back at me. Did he want me to passively take his advice, to be a happy-go-lucky worker bee, or did he secretly want me to challenge him, and assert myself as a leader and a powerhouse among my peers?
By EmilyH URL on 08.04.2011
I hate generalizing, but why is it that everyone hates their managers? Is it because when they take up the famed title, they actually trade their souls to the company in exchange for making every other employee’s life miserable? I myself have experienced two managers where I previously worked. One seemed like an angel and the other was purely the opposite. But in the end, I found out that both had taken advantage of me. Both, in their own cunning ways.

How do we manage to reduce emotion to a concept? Logic manager in charge of brainwaves….makes me want to skip the job. I’d like to be manager of my intentions and my heart.

I never thought I would be a good manager. Ideas, that’s the realm in which I’m the most comfortable. Yet, here I am, bestowed with this “promotion.” A people-person job. And I’d rather be in my own head. Grappling with disputes, only in my mind, am I able to solve them.

I managed my life; I couldn’t tell you who managed theirs. They needed constant approval that what they were doing was “right.” It wasn’t, ironically enough, but it was nonetheless tiring beyond belief. I did whatever I wanted, no questions asked. Maybe that’s why it was so easy to stand up against my friends and let them know that the way they led their lives was something I couldn’t live with.

He played the manager. Whenever his siblings did something wrong, he would try to fix it before their parents got wind of it. When they got in trouble, he played diplomat. He attempted to soothe his parents anger and make the punishment lighter. Why did he do this? Because he wished he had someone to play manager for him.
