I hate them, but in the end I feel a lot better because I feel like i’ve acomplished something. I also feel much more independent because I feel like I can handle myself better. Plus, I just love the feeling of a clean, nice room. It makes my whole attitude better. But, while I’m doing them, IT SUCKS.

There are people whom one loves immediately and forever. Even to know they are alive in the world with one is quite enough.
“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.”
“Love that is not madness is not love.”
Pedro Calderon de la Barca
“Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them.”
-Richard L. Evans
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Martin Luther King, Jr
“No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.”
“Nature is cruel, that does not mean we have to be”

Nothing is a chore with the right attitude. Mary Poppins taught us that. Sure we can’t snap our fingers and make the job do itself, but a smile can cut the time in half

I hate chores, but they have to be done. Everyone complains about them, but hey, wouldn’t you rather have a clean house than a disaster of one? I would much rather do chores every once in a while to keep things tidy instead of doing nothing and having my house look and smell like a pigsty. Chores are chores. Deal with it.

People hate them. No one likes to have to do anything. Chores are the work that everyone dreads. From being a small one to even being a adult, you’re not into doing work. It could be the smallest assignment but once you put the label, “chore,” everyone shys away.

The chores of the day weighed down upon her shoulders. ‘Where has time gone?’ she asks to herself quietly. ‘Everywhere’ the walls whisper back. With each task she must begin anew, knowing fully well that it will not last, she does them anyway.

something came up
i’m sorry –
there was a list of things to do
and they didn’t get done

Hate ’em and love them. I LOVE cleaning, but nothing that somehow relates to me. Like my kitchen…or my ROOM – yuck. But someone else’s HOUSE, oh god yes; I’ll do it. I never got paid for chores anyway, so it made them that much less appealing. I guess chores shouldn’t be rewarded because that’s your contribution. You can’t expect someone else to clean everything for you, if you wouldn’t do it yourself. Doing chores is a life lesson that’ll be continuously taught.

Chores seem meaningless, but they are useful. God, an allowance should always come with chores. Indian parents don’t believe in allowance. They more believe in a raised hand, a stern voice, and a furrowed brow that makes most 10 year olds want to poop their pants. Chores. God, I hated chores. But at least I’m a clean kid, now.

My friend gets sprayed with a water bottle if she doesn’t do her chores. She flicks her tail angrily and hisses, running to hide in her parent’s closet, only to get caught in the predicament of deciding between staying stuck forever or ‘coming out of the closet’. Yes Neko-Chan, I’m talking about you XD ^^ <3

chores suck, and sometimes stink. they teach responsibility, but they also hurt your back. they keep your stuff clean, but they also ruin your mind. (:

When a lesson is learned, an award is brought…before that award we must get to a prize. Cleaning, washing… being gleefully with a chroe or two. Life is full of chores and chores are full of ife…

I hate chores. It’s just another word for something to do when you’re bored. I’ll do them if it has something to do with me and my house but for some reason I don’t have the same feeling living in my parent’s house.

I hate chores so much. My dad won’t pay me back any of the money he owes me until I do my chores!! I hate cleaning up after the dog and doing the dishes and being responsible. I wish I was a kid again and I didn’t have to do any. I HATEEEEEE CHOOOOOOORESSSSSS. A lot. In case you didn’t get the point. of my rant

This morning, I woke up to do chores. I woke up like I do everyday, but something was different. It wasn’t the weather, it wasn’t my house. It was me. That’s the miraculous thing about humans, isn’t it? No matter how similar our surroundings, we find a way to be different. To change overnight

“Atilla the Hun,” the scruffy man thought. “She’s like Atilla the Hun in heels.” But he performed his chores for her so she could deal her tricks and bargains and dooms and delights. While it wasn’t much of a living, at least he was still living.

chores. the old term for tasks. things obligatory. kind of a drag connotation with this word.
By Tyler on 07.08.2011
Chores are exceptionally boring. Although the common task people view as lame and unworthy of their time, they are vital. Chores not only put together peoples lives but help maintain order subconsciously.
By Tammy on 07.08.2011
i hate chores. if i didn’t have to do them life would be great.
but the thing about chores is that you learn something from them.
my daddy taught me that chores keep you disciplined and make you responsible.
I should probably listen to my daddy more often, and i’ll probably regret not listening to him when I’m 32 and married…but right now I’m on this website writing about the word ‘chores’ . Because i don’t want to do chores.

Mum’s away and i feel the power…dishing out chores and driving kids around. And then i see what i am doing and panic. What if this becomes my life? I don’t want to be a housewife, i want adventure, travel, excitement! Aren’t i supposed to want to be a mother and want this life??
By Kirsty URL on 07.08.2011
Uggh! I hate them. Well, then again, if you get money for them, I am okay, but if they are no money, grrr! Many chores are dusting, dishes, vacuum, clean up rooms, etc. There are even chores for adults. They have to clean the house and cook and some other stuff.
By KAT on 07.08.2011
I hate cleaning the cat litter, doing the laundry, taking out the trash, vacuuming, doing the dishes, unloading the dishwasher, feeding the dog, ironing clothing and dusting the lamps.
The worst chore of all is having to deal with my family.
By Megan on 07.08.2011
i’m not good at them.
i believe they are good for disciplinary reasons.
im forced to do them by my sister everyday, when she shouts ‘wash the dishes’ i shout ‘YES!” and 10 minutes later i go downstairs to finish them up.
shes leaving to university next year i wont have to hear the word ‘wash the dishes!’ anymore.
but i think im still going to miss her shouting that.
its kind of one of the few things we say to each other.

Chores. I used to hate chores. I woud yell or hide, do anything, besides the chores my dear mother asked me to do. As I look back, I see how much my life has changed since those dreaded days of chores. I now look forward to doing chores, at least they give me something to fill my time up with.
By Kate URL on 07.08.2011
chores are tiring sometimes but everyone needs to contribute to the house work. it’s only fair that everyone works together as a team to get everything done. everyone should work off each other and feed off each other toward a common goal of keeping the house clean. chores are an inevitable and neccesary part of growing up.

It is a chore to get up and go to work and smile and work with the girl who has everything you ever wanted in your life-everything. And you are just the girl in the corner who people don’t really say anything to. You’re just there and that’s it.

That didn’t mean that she didn’t break any valuable heirlooms, however.
Because lots of those were broken.

hate them. love them. do them. all day every day, cinderella washes her hands in the dirty sink that her evil stepmother assigns her to. chores haunt us until we fall into our graves of hopeful cleanliness. chores scold us until we fall to our knees begging for the night off. chores are what you make of them. evil or beautiful. they’re just chores.
By ariel blackwood on 07.08.2011

Chores are actually something that I wasn’t required to do growing up. My parents expected me to focus on education and academic studies. Plus being Romanian nearly guarantees that your mother’s second job (if she’s not a housewife) is to stay home and cook and clean…so I got out of chores :) But now I’m married…

I hate doing chores because I feel like it wastes my precious summer. I used to have to clean out the litterbox which sucked because my cat can drop some pretty big loads. Mom used to get mad at me becasue I would use my bare hands to pick up stray turds she left laying around the litterbox.

My boyfriend was the one who got me away from the slew of them I had to do at my mom’s house. I was/ am Cinderella in the closest modern time. He saw me go from vibrant to being out of school and having too much on my plate and being so dragged down from all of it all the time. I’m so grateful to have him in my life, even if right now is entirely too stressful for the both of us…
