I wish you not to be alarmed my dear, for I do not tell you that I love you to strike fear to your heart, but it hopes that you will soon feel the same about me. Do not associate me as an alarmist to you.

You are such an alarmist! A freeze on hiring does not mean that the company is going under! Although I do admit that I hope they take the time to regroup!
By Bonnie Cehovet URL on 11.07.2011
My husband is an alarmist. … every time anything goes wrong, it is a disaster and absolutely insurmountable. Thank heavens we haven’t been through an actual disaster or he will go into meltdown
By Chris on 11.07.2011
this is someone who gets scared and startled quite easily and causes chaos amongst others to satisfy their own fear. and it is sometimes similar to the boy who cried wolf as they cause chaos with no just cause.

Must be working on inside issues that don’t come with personal happiness, inside issues that raise doubts about who I am and what is going on and why am I not part of the party! Thus, I must DO something. Achtung! Alert! Wake up! But to nothing real, to nothing that needs an alert.

I’m not really sure what this means but I’d like to think it is some kind of animal… Perhaps a breed of bear or owl that lives alone deep in the forest never seen my humans or indeed any other animals, they live and die alone meeting only once in their lives to breed

an alarm person who fixes alarms or a person who breaks into an alarm? im so confused right now.. what am i supposed to be doing?
By Megan Meyer on 11.07.2011
Alarmist. That’s what they called him. They would not believe that he had really seen the dragon’s lair, that he had heard the goblins’ plans. They called him crazy, untrustworthy. But Senchen knew what he had seen. And even if they did not believe him, he was determined to save the village.

She claimed it was a the truth, but I knew the truth…she was the “boy who cried wolf” just to get attention, but I saw with my own two eyes. She screamed, “Rape!” when a beloved swim coach tried to help her with her stoke…now, he is labled as a pedophile…and she, well, her 15 minutes of fame are over…What’s next for this alarmist bitch?

Why don’t they change the words on here, I’ve always wondered. I’m alarmed, am I an alarmist? Maybe I’m sounding the alarm. of my own stupidity for assuming everyone is on American time, Eastern time. This is the downfall of my generation, is how we are so closed minded in thinking we are the only ones. no globalism, but the cold narcissism that defines us.

panicking and struggling running all over the house shouting and being scared and late
my mom does that
fire burning fire extinguisher
Screaming being very angry and sad
shocked and puzzled

the alarmist moves
and they pull down the blinds to save their light
They lock their doors and pace the floor.

There say that I am a alarmist, because i do not take chances with my, or my children life. I am always on the look out for someone who have criminal intentions to attack or seek to deprive me of my property.
By victor walkes URL on 11.07.2011
the alarmist woke me up in the morning as I was getting late for the office. I like this new concept of the Alarmist who wakes you up in the morning for just a small amount that you have to pay monthly.

A person who thinks that something bad is going to happen. No matter what, they are always looking for what could go wrong. My father is an alarmist. If we are having a perfectly pleasant day, he will find something to worry about. It drives me crazy. i hope I don’t grow up to be like that.
By Siri URL on 11.07.2011
I’m not really sure what an alarmist is, and I’m extremely confused. I wish I knew the definition, that might make this a bit easier to write about. In other news, I’m making vegetable lasagna for dinner which I’m extremely excited about, you know? So, I’m going to google alarmist after my sixty seconds is up and see where to go from there, and maybe make an account and re-do this, which is cheating but whatevers.

The world is full of alarmist. It starts with alarmist parents who put pressure on their wards to t politicians who hold the country and the world to ransom by their alarmist tactics.
By sankar on 11.07.2011
I felt so alarmist after 9/11. Everything was a threat. I was scared to go to the mall, anywhere that people were gathering. Even to work. I figured on a Saturday night a bomb would kill as many people as were killed on that awful day. The alarm has dissipated with time.
By elizabeth b URL on 11.07.2011
I don’t even know what that means but I’m going to guess it’s someone who causes alarm. Someone who makes others think that an event or reaction is worse that it actually is.
By Amelia G URL on 11.07.2011
reacting to any situation without first taking the time to consider more possibilities than the first panic influenced thought that comes into your head. run! run i tell you! we’ve run out of bread and we can’t have beans on toast! abandon hope all ye who enter……………………

My favorite doctor is an alarmist. I’d rather be told the bad news, the worst scenario and then have the best happen. It’s almost like a superstition with me. Even on school exams I expected the worse and was greatly relieved when it didn’t happen and I passed the exams.
By spartica URL on 11.07.2011
what does alarmist even mean?
By Ursula rox URL on 11.07.2011
The alarmist looked up. The woman’s face was in horror. The screeching sound of the high-pitched alarm (DUH, he’s an alarmist) was unbearable. Nothing could fix this. Not ever. He knew this was how it was going to be for the rest of his days. Not like before.
By Liz on 11.07.2011
She didn’t want to panic with every step of her day to day routines but that was her habit. She was an alarmist and she couldn’t help it…but then again people needed her to be that way. Otherwise the disaster would not have been averted. She saved the day with her personal flaw and for that she was thankful.
By Mel on 11.07.2011
I hate how today’s media focuses on everything from an alarmist perspective. The world is not going to end because some Hollywood socialite has to do some community service. The world is not going to end because a bunch of dirtballs are “occupying” wallstreet. The world is not going to end because the flu for this year is somehow super genetically mutated and incapable of being destroyed. The world is not going to end because the government made a legion of super zombies that have no weaknesses and mean dispositions…. but sometime I sure wish it would.

I’m not really sure what alarmist really is, but I think it has something to do with being worry all the time. If that’s true, then it’s one of the thing in my life that I want to get rid of. I don’t like that kind of feeling.

alarmist is when people are alarmed easily i shall call them .. easily afraid laughing out loud… they are easily alarmed~ easily easily alarmed and the only good thing about them is that they are very cautious and we all shall not die because of some accidents because they are here hahaha…. and by the way , they suck…

I did this word yesterday but I still will write.
I hear the alarms, they ring ring ring.
I want to turn them off but the pillow feels so good
I smash my hand upon the alarm button but instead i hit some other button.
It continues to blare.

Bells ringing and red lights flashing in head. Somewhere a siren goes off. I panic, I worry, I fret. For no reason sometimes. I live on constant alert of things going wrong.

“Did you hear that!”
I rolled my eyes. “What Arnold?”
“That over there!” He pointed excitedly at a large pile of brush.
“Yes, I heard it. The brush pile is saying, ‘Shut up Arnold. Go to sleep. Brush piles don’t talk.'”

While some may believe Chicken Little caused undue consternation, she at least got the people working together, the people moving forward. But this does not discount the need for a cool head and in-depth analysis.

REALLY frightening. Putting the scarers on something loud noises. one person trying to take over the whole thing. sounds like someone who is fitting an alarm; this might be the new politically correct job description. or, could be misheard as someone who fits artificial limbs to people in a fog or something like that.

This guy I use to know was scared of the dark and I couldn’t figure out how to help him. I mean, can you imagine? Being a grown man and terrified of the dark? He would jump into my arms ever time the lights went out.
By EJ Blane on 11.07.2011
alarmist .. one who raises the sound bell on things happening, however, not always for the positive. It could also mean someone responsible for ringing the alarm. Harp plus person equals harpist? alarm plus person equals alarmist? Fun.
By Anne-Marie Deryaw URL on 11.07.2011
Someone who wakes people up or something that wakes people up. Its loud And noisy. Its something that can basically wake a person or a thing up.

i am so tired of all the news, the awful news, always bad, always extreme, who is out to get us today??? someone new, something new with the dawn of each new day. always fearful, always warning… never having peace, never having joy… how sad their lives must be. always running from one alarming thing to another.
By Michaels on 11.07.2011
Had he always been an alarmist? No, that couldn’t be the case, she was exaggerating to make a point. He was maybe a little paranoid, but alarmist? Not even close, that was like the time he screamed bloody murder for everyone to get off the subway because he smelled paint fumes from a graffiti cover up operation, she said he needed to calm down, but he wasn’t an alarmist, right?
