A recommendation is something you suggest to someone. You might give someone a restaurant recommendation. Or a recommendation for a play to go and see. It is quite a formal word but still used in everyday speech.
I think another word for recommendation could be ‘opinion’. When someone recommends something to someone. It is because they have an opinion on it. We all know that opinions are individual and one persons opinion can be totally different from another’s.

He watches it for a long while, and I watch him, and, at least in that brief time, his hopeless eyes are filled with light.
my recommendation for you is that you should be less nervous and more confident about the issue you are talking about. you know the information but you seem not to be confident when you read from the paper and not talk from you heart
I’ve been searching everywhere for the most elusive of all things: where to start. It’s funny, isn’t it? How much we can rely on that single piece of information to get anywhere. At least, I do. I wish I could be more “go with the flow,” you know? But it’s just not in my nature. I need a plan, a pathway. I need to know I’m going the right way. So that’s why I’m here – where do you recommend I start?

i was at the hospital because i broke my leg falling off of a ladder…they reccomended a better hospital for my situation the reccomended hospital was better and now i am in a cast but i can still walk

I couldn’t believe it. He had the audacity to entrench himself into my life, and provide me with advice? Recommendations? on things that absolutely did not pertain to him. I am not only disappointed but angry, and angry enough that I let our relationship get this far.
