  2. yarn? what tha? this is super random but it reminds me of my roommate the girl would sit for days and knit these quilts that were ugly and extremely rough. I would never have liked to have them. yet I told her they were nice.

  6. I was sitting on my couch, reading the newspaper on a Saturday morning as my pet kitten rolled a ball of yarn all over the living room. I glanced up momentarily to make sure she wasn’t wreaking too much havoc.

  7. yarn. i pull out the thread of the sweater, and it unravels. slowly, sort of like my life. my life is slowly unraveling. slowly but surely, and it keeps changing. it used to be perfect. like my life. i loved it. and now, a simple snag, a simple fail, a simple mistake has changed everything. my life is like a sweater.

  8. The strands that connect the world and generations past weave a great tapestry of hope for the little girl. Cradled in love. Protected by peace. Life.

  10. a delightful ball of yarn sits upon the threaded ground. why it sits and does not run as the feline approach it, i do not know. but maybe the yarn knows, and that’s why it doesn’t run. perhaps it accepts its fate as the plaything of a creature yearning for the yarn and so it goes. oh what a splendid ball of yarn.

  12. yarn is a fickle thing. it binds our lives together but at the same time can easily be broken. it says a lot about the human itself, one minute you help others and the next you let someone down.

  15. Yarn comes in a variety of colors, just like people. However, colors of yarn like purple and orange are not the colors of people. Actually, people with fake tans are, in fact, orange. I was wrong. There is such a thing as purple yarn, but not naturally purple people.

  17. Yarn is long and wide at times. I have so much yarn stashed that the dealer for sheep remnants came by to see if he could borrow my yarn to make a new kind of organic fence for his sheep. He thought it would be a good marketing tool. MY SHEEP are GREEN and NEAT with a fence full of yarn stripes to keep them in. The sheep do not

  18. it’s a tall tale he told, one that wrapped around and around itself, chasing circles, until even he couldn’t tell where it began and where it ended. Colorful phrases that, knit together, could warm a girl’s heart. But full of holes when it came time to be put to use. She couldn’t wear his stories to bed, alone, in the cold night.
