On our first day, I had to ask him to remind me what x stands for and then re-explain the meaning of y. After our first hour of HIM tutoring me, I was finally able to tech him how to SPELL algebra. When he realized my forte was NOT mathematics, he suggested I enter the high school spelling bee as I explained that spelling was actually my superpower.
