  3. movies use to be my favorite thing in the world. now i play video games or go in SL and do nothing useful at all. My favorite movie of all time is ” Dead poets society.” One of the most profound and touching films of all time. Plus i love Robin Williams. Are these meant to be creative? If so i suck.

  4. Jaida and I picked out three movies for our sleep over with our friend. We are going to watch: Pirates of the Caribean , Transformers, and Transformers Age of Extinction. We are also going to have popcorn. Later on, we are going to have a sleep over with my Mom and sisters in our front room. We are going to watch good movies and have snacks. Our Dad is going to a men’s meeting at camp in New Hampshire.

  6. He would take her to the movies every week, most of the time she couldn’t even remember what the movie was about. They talked almost the whole time, they shared popcorn and candy and laughed and giggled the night away.

  7. She stared at the screen, eyes not doing the usual flickering, the usual dance of taking in all the details. She was distracted, distant. I watched her and not the ad for whatever vapid action movie they were trying to get me to go see. I saw her jolt awake, realizing she had been thousands of miles away, lost to something other than the movies.

  10. “I’d like to be a superhero, like in the movies, that’d be pretty cool.” He looked down at his bag of candy that we bought. Me and Nate always sat outside and looked at the stars it was a good way to pass the time and just to talk. I sat up and looked at him. “That would be pretty cool huh? If only heroes like that existed.” Nate look flustered “Well I can make em exist. The world needs as many heroes it can get ya know.” I nodded. “I guess you’ve got a point there”. I tried to imagine jittery, paranoid Nate a superhero saving damsels in distress and in his mask and other getup. Dreamers were made for believers I guess.

  11. Movies are like long TV shows, right? Movies…I like some movies. Obviously I don’t like ALL of them because I haven’t seen all the movies. Some people have favorite movies. I don’t know my favorite movie.

  12. I saw a movie one time about a dinosaur that ate it’s own children. Actually I’ve never seen a movie like that, and I’m kind of glad. A movie of that caliber would be a little disturbing, don’t you think?

  13. I knelt on the floor, running my fingers over row after row of DVDs. “Whaddaya wanna watch?” I called, on reflex, to the man draped on the couch behind me.

“Seriously,” he said, because he had not five seconds ago told me to make the choice for him.

I rolled my eyes, sighing to myself at the grim reality of decision-making, and leaned in with renewed determination. What was I in the mood for? “Something /gory/,” I muttered aloud.

  15. Step into a world of intrigue and adventure! Preform death defying feats, confound villains, rescue the princess! Or enter a workd of romance and fantasy. All this can be yours on motion picture. The movies – coming to you on the big screen.

  16. the scene plays out the same each day, though the lighting changes slightly and the time of year changes the setting from autumnal green to red summer to pink winter and a white white spring, mixing itself up into colours and swirls that mell so that one doesn’t know which is a movie and which is real life anymore

  17. movies. moo-vies. moo. cow. grass. regurgitate. gross? milk. dairy. dairy valley. cheese. tillamook. ice cream. favorite. pumpkin. fall. leaves. rain. el nino. santa cruz. band trip.

  18. Movies are great. I think they would make a great first date. But i wouldnt know. I’ve nevver been on a date, much less a first date. It would be nice though. To watch a movie, to laugh sitting next to a guy you get butterflies sitting next to.

  19. I love all kinds of movies especially a drama. I used to go to the movies all the time. But life events happened and going now just isn’t the same.

  20. When you’re driving and the rain falls outside your window. Walking home at 3 in the morning after a concert. Life is composed of the moments that makes you feel like you’re living the life of a fictional character that you wish you could see on screen. In moments of pure emotion, be it joy or rage you realize the reason why you exist is to feel human.

  21. constant clicking reminder its time for the next scene, only the great glittering fags and fairies and shuddering bleeding whores wipe off their wounds, peel away their lashes, whereas, after the credits click in our digital all-minds, wounds spill into seething pain, shrieking into crescendo, death as a denouement

  23. Her plan was to go to the movies, but that didn’t happen. Instead, she found herself tumbling down outside the café where her mother used to take her. She fell hard against the concrete, still wait from the rain, and her red umbrella tumbled down with her. It was nearly evening, but the sky was still a murky grey.

  24. We could go to the movies and braid popcorn into our hair. The films will all be bad, anyway. We’ll play hide and seek among the rows, if we’re the only ones there. I’ll crawl between your legs and search for unwrapped mints and forgotten gummy worms. Once the movie’s over, we’ll lurch into the parking lot with our arms latching us together like conjoined twins. As the stars come out, one by one, we’ll find a more entertaining show than we did in that dark, cold theater.

  25. The movies were outdated. The walls mucky. The whole place reeked of sweat and old take out. “This guy should have gotten a wife.” Officer Vic quipped, trying to lift the heavy moods of his crew. It didnt. The entire team wanted nothing more than to tag and bag, and get out of this poor excuse for an apartment.

  26. I went to the movies with her. I didn’t see a single scene. I don’t even know which movie we’ve seen. I don’t know her name, all I know is she sat two rows in front of me and she lives on 401 west high street. I know this because I followed her home.

  28. Movies are the wishes we never lived out, the dreams we want, the romantic lives we wish we could lead. they’re full of hope, hurt, and extreme circumstances. they teach us the complex lessons of life in no time at all. It’s somewhat amazing. They often express everything we ever wanted, and sometimes the complications are what we realize we want the most.

    by Taylor on 09.29.2015
  29. Movies allows us to escape from realities of life or they help us to better prepared for challenges of life by broadening our vision and simulating our imagination?. I guess, they do both. It really depends upon type of movie and with what objectives you watch movie.

  30. fun interesting engaging time passer i enjoy going to see movies that are drama-based, action-packed, and interesting. Mysteries and thrillers are among my favorites. Movie stars, based on books, etc. They are all good.

  31. “Let’s go to the movies,” he said.

    She didn’t reply.

Mostly she was wondering if he had noticed the stains from her tears.

“I think Spiderman will be showing.”

  32. Movies of lives that are not my own, paths that are not my, dreams that are not my own to distract me from my own life, uncertain path and nightmares. It isn’t that I can relate to movies it’s that I can’t.

  33. She clung on to her armrest as the hero on the screen leaped from the plane. It was all fake, sure, but the stress in the theater was palpable. She took another bite of her popcorn, and waited anxiously for the parachute to open.

  34. There are so many movies that come out these days, that it is hard to distinguish those that are worth consuming from those that are just a way to get the audience to buy supplements such as action figures, collector’s editions, and so on. How many can be considered ‘films’, and works of art?

  35. We went to the movies. Afterwards he said it was watchable yarn and listed some of the problems with the film. I bit my lip. I hated people talking about the film at the movies as I was just walking out. We went for a burger. He was still talking about the film so in a rage, quite out of character, I threw my diet coke in his face. He retaliated by throwing a punch: the burger falling out of his mouth as he did so. He kind of missed but it still hurt. He walked out after that and we haven’t been in touch since. I’ll never forget what he said about the movie though. (3 extra minutes)

  36. Furious nothingness.
    A deafening lack of words.
All that existed was bitter sentiment. The putrid whiff of betrayal. It swirled around their house, echoing off the walls, killing joy and even the memories of joy.
There was nowhere to go. In order to survive she had to find hope in her imagination, running movies through her head, clickety scenes of people smiling and holding hands, making lives for themselves. Real lives where they moved and talked and touched without hurting each other.

  37. I went to the movies with him and I crued, he laughed we were sitting in the back row and j couldn’t stop kissing him. I know someone who have a blowjob in the movie theater but I’ve always been too scared / to grossed out to do that. the last time I went to the movies was on new years day with my two best friends. they broke up a few months ago. now Vincent doesn’t talk to Charlotte or Me. I never have money for this kind of thing, I guess that’s why I never go. that or I have better things to do. you can’t talk to people in a movie theater. you can’t smoke cigarettes in a movie theater

  38. Eating popcorn at the movies, sitting next to your crush. It’s the first time you’ve gone on a date and your heart is filled with bubbly excitement. There’s a jumpscare – an ax murderer pops out of nowhere – you grab his arm, adrenaline and exhilaration pumping through your veins.

  39. I used to watch a lot of these when back home. But, looks like I no longer have interests in them. Lack of time and hectic schedule has forced me to be away from these. Still, I love to watch some great imposing movies.

  40. There was a time when hollywood was glorious. Films had meanings and people went to them to be enlightened. Now we have films like 50 Shades of Grey. Yup.
