Sometimes I feel like the relationships I have in my life are no more meaningful and profound that one would find in a professional environment between two unemotional, calculating constituents.
The client walked in with a smug smile on his face. as if he had already organized and arranged the deal that would be made. His firm hand grasped mine and his blue eyes looked at me. “Nice to meet you ma’am.” I rolled my eyes at the absurd country accent. Not a thing has changed. “Hello old friend.”
The man looked back at him with uninterested eyes and he felt like something was wrong. Without hesitation, he closed his briefcase, stood up, said “Well, fuck that”, and kicked the desk over in the man’s face. A smile crept across his face as he turned his back and walked from the room.
The client is waiting. Buzz, buzz. The client is waiting. The droning of the secretary almost drowns out the ticking of the clock, the incessant ticking, ticking, ticking of the clock. Buzz, buzz. The client is waiting. The client is waiting. The client is just outside your door. He’s been expecting you. His horns are growing longer and longer. Tick, tick, tick, tick. The client is waiting. Can’t you feel the heat through the floor? Buzz, buzz. The client is waiting.
The client shifted restlessly, clearly uncomfortable with the situation he found himself in. Most of their clients were. No one wanted to admit that he needed their services.
The clicking of her fake red nails was all that could be heard in the large meeting room. It was a noise that was grading on Harold very soul. This client could easily be the one who propels his career to superstardom, so long as he doesn’t shove his fist down her throat before finishing the job.

I am client in this world. This world… a big big market where all the souls, good and bad are on sale. But who cares? If the word soul does not have a hastag in front of it, nobody… Yeah… I am a client of my own soul. My service? oh… it’s gotta be happiness…
Chat client. Business client. There are lots of ways to use the word “client”. Honestly, I wish that there were more USEFUL chat clients that were desktop native for Mac. Such a first world problem, I know. I wish I knew how to code, build programs, so that I could create the programs and systems the way I want them to work… not the way somebody else thinks they should work.
