  1. Jesse wired his controller to his PC to play Oblivion and become the best player in the world at Oblivion and he was second place until Christmas and became number 1 in the world.

  2. I am just scrolling through Netflix and find this show. I say to myself this is gonna suck, but put it on anyway. I am wired. man its been 3 hours since I started and I am sucked in so deep I don’t think you could pull me out. It’s easy to get wired into TV especially if its Netflix. I am so wired into this show I think I am part of the TV now.

  3. Her legs were shaking. She kept sipping the coffee, even though she was anxious and the caffine wasn’t helping.

  4. I did not know that telephones were first wired in the late 1800s. I hope telephonew will not be wired anymore. Telephones stopped being wired in the 90s.

  5. He looks back, and she’s still all wired-up, shivering despite the blankets he’d heaped on her earlier. A moment passes. Her entire frame shudders, as if the chilliest wind in the Arctic had just flitted through her room, and if he weren’t listening so hard, he probably wouldn’t have heard the small sob she’s just choked back now.

He wonders why she does it. Why she always has to be the strongest person in the room. But then again, some questions were better left unanswered.

    “I’ll be outside,” he whispers.

She doesn’t reply, and he respects her too much to press further.

Still – he leaves the door half-open the entire night.

  6. Coffee and tobacco at least three times daily – you never seem wired, always calm in your long black mohair coat. You peeked back at me over your shoulder as we crossed over the frozen river, trailing smoke over your shoulder like a train in a Buster Keaton movie. Did you want to say something?

  7. When I think of the word wired it doesn’t have the most positive spin for me. When someone is wired they tend to be out of control and all over the place. My word choice for 2019 would hopefully be something more controlled that would lead me to a productive and impactful and huge 2019 year that would help me better achieve my goals and remind me what I need to be doing each day.

  8. The device has to be wired properly.
Any deviations would create further problems.
As someone once said, do things right the first time, so there would be fewer problems.
Otherwise, one must be prepared for it.

  9. I never drink coffee, but at night, I’m wired. I hate afternoons ’cause I’m always tired. I manage a store where the best are hired, with the wife and the little baby boy I sired. Now time to eat my tiramisu – I like the coffee flavor, just not the coffee brew.

  11. Wired to the morphine, drip dripping, I almost feel sorry for him now. Can almost feel the hint of empathy creep into my own circulatory system–in parallel. Unconscious, bruised and bleeding from the inside, he looks small, pitiful and he does not scare me any longer. I think about what it would feel like to take his hand into my hand, bend his fingers back, back, all the way; wonder if he would feel this too–our own feelings-of-this-occurrence in symmetry, back to back, a kind of intimation of the worst kind. I think about what it would feel like to kiss his forehead in the middle of this hospital room–baptize him in a forgiveness he did not ask for.

I walk to my car through the infinite parking lot having done none of these things. I climb into my truck and smile back at the older woman passing by; follow the dot of her body as turns to blur in the distance. I start the engine and he lies still in the bed, his organ of body taking all of the sweet nothings into itself with a kind / of greediness.

  12. What a computer is.

  13. It seems that I’m wired to enjoy talking to you for ever and ever, hours on end. If only there wasn’t constant work to be done. If only I could know for sure whether your conversational enjoyment had more depths, more heats, than can be obviously seen. If only I could know for sure that I show up in your dreams.
