  7. Wings. I always wanted wings, ever since I was a small child. I write about the, read about them, study them, dream about them. I would give almost anything to have wings. To feel that a surge of lift in the warm air currents, to soar above cities at night.

    Getting places quickly would be pretty nice too.

No one else could tell she was flying but she could and it was her universe. She flew everywhere she went, separate from the world, in it but not of it, on another plane entirely.   20. I had wings once. I flew around the clouds, mingling with blue skies and blue birds. It was beautiful. I wished to stay there forever, sadly forever doesn’t exist and the world is an imperfect place.

  21. I like drawing wings. I’ve gotten really good at it recently. I’m not sure what inspired me to start drawing, but I’m glad that I did. I’m discovering that I’m a lot better at it than I ever thought I was. :)

  22. wings let you take off. not in the normal sense, but offer a different experience altogether. Wings let you see the world as you’ve never seen it, everything is laid out below you. I would like to fly. I will fly. I will have wings, or I will never be free.

  30. true happiness is having wings, as ben harper said in a song. it’s not my favorite song of his. i tend to think that ben harper is a nice songwriter who doesn’t have the chops to make it on mainstream radio. anyway, i once wrote a poem on the colorado bridge about my desire to fly. the very next song that came on the radio in my car was learn to fly by the foo fighters. crazy, huh?
