  1. Willow is the image of my childhood summers.
    Alone by the river, I would sit for hours under the swaying branches and watch the flow . Time drifted away from me as the water flowed to the sea. The willow weeped, for it was stuck in the bank, unable to drift and explore like the water could. It mirrored the ripples with it’s tender sweeps and moved in the breeze in fluid ways, but like me it could only bend it’s will. It could not fly in the face of the steady conformity placed upon it, upon me. So we became melancholy friends, the willow and me.
    Until one day I learnt how to loosen my roots and run like the water had always known how to do.

  3. willow what? what is a willow? my boyfriend says its a tree. who cares about trees. you should care about trees! trees give us oxygen bitch! i cant believe you! Oh yeah, a weeping willow. I know that tree! Theyre cute. Kinda sad though. Good to read under id imagine.. because of good shade. Unless its one of those trees where little things fall off and hit you in the face, then i dont like it.

  4. The only thing I can think of when reading the word willow is Mother Willow from the Disney movie Pocahantos. She seemed to be one that gave good advice and was caring of all creatures whether it be human or not. I like that they were able to form her face out of the misshapen bark that flowed on the tree.

It was another tree with white bark and black scarring. Those black scars carressed with curiosity by innumerable young children, bumps grazed by sweaty fingertips

  13. Stitched by a witch from the branches of an old willow that crew in through the cracks of her house. He stumbled about like a newborn foal, unsure of his wobbly wooden legs. His eyes were coal and his mouth was sewn up shut, and even if it wasn’t that willow body of his didn’t have much to say.

  36. I have a willow tree in my back yard. It covers my hot tub and in the fall the leaves fall all over the yard. I have a fort right in it. It can be a pain in my butt when I have to rake but I really like it
