I could never go down to the river to wash clothes by myself. Ever since my younger brother, Elric, drowned that one day three years ago. I would always have to bring Mommy or Aunty with me.

What am I supposed to write with “washer”? Are we serious here? I can’t even think of something and at this point I’m just rambling. What does washer mean anyways?

She stood at the sink. How long was her washer broken now? She was not happy. But her husband had promised to fix it and she did not want to become one of those nagging wives. So she soldiered on and did the dishes by hand, thrice a day.

Watcher her, Washer.
Oblivious to you, your eyes, and squeegee squeeze.
But you’re not here to please.
You breathe on the window.
All fog and steam…
Creeping in on a secrect scene.
Your gaze heavy with condensation
A rock now resides in your hand.
How long can you stand it?

these tears are strangers i know well
washer wash the sighs from inside the time
these sighs are like moments i told her
what mind i try can avoid the lines
these words are like lies i told well
when words wash us all away

Dragging a bursting and torn laundry bag across the cracked asphalt to the laundry mat, sign lit with one flickering light bulb left calling out to insects through the night, she reflected on her own washing machine in disrepair. It had been months, the machine ironically gathering more mold and dust than it ever cleaned, streaked soap stains from detergent dripping down the rusting sides. One phone call, an hour or two, and it could all go back to normal.
She popped the coins and watched the yellow stains pressed against the front-loading glass as they refused to fade in a double dose of bleach.
She cracked open the third book this month, and would finish it before the drier pierced the late-night July air. It was the third book she had read this year.
The chug put her in a stupor, and she saw every Thursday night ahead of her—the cheap yellow plastic cobwebbed to the walls, the stale heat, a snow-topped laundry net and a huddle against the dryers. The same swash, the same buzz, a different novel.

A washer is a tupe of washing machine. It cleans clothes and helps tidy. Most houses have them in developed countries. YOu can also find shops that have many washers and you can take your clothes there if you don’t have one.

Marshall wanted a new washer and dryer, but Emery insisted that they couldn’t afford it. So they forked over quarter after quarter at the local laundromat, perpetually wasting money that they could have used up for newer and better machines. In the meantime, Chad got it in his head that perhaps hanging his wet clothes on a line would solve the problem. That was during the rainiest winter in a decade.

The lady washer dumped our pile of damp clothes into the wooden basket outside, grumbling loudly. “I swear, you people have too many children living in one house.” That was the last time we ever saw or heard from her.

She threw her clothes in and turned the knob until it started. The machine started to buzz and water started to pour into the machine. Now just to wait.

this washer is fucking loud!
it’s old and rickety. probably about 20+ years old
I use it every damn day and I WANT A NEW ONE
The idea of a new washer is so exciting, even when you have a nice one already. Infinite settings…delicates…cottons…darks…..ahhhhh

I had a washer of thoughts once. It was a box in which I used to drop my bad thoughts and bed thoughts, too… after a while, some noise and a black steam coming out, there it was: a new, better, brilliant, easy, joyful thought!

The act of washing as become a specialized endeavor. Now we have washers purpose built for every time in our lives that routinely needs a wash. Dishes go in the dishwasher, clothes go in the washing machine, and cars go through a car wash. Despite this we have not really worked out an automated people washer yet. We have showers and indoor plumbing, but the act of washing our selves or someone else still means breaking out lefty and righty and scrubbing down the body the good old fashioned way.
I wonder why we have not developed a mainstream automated method of bathing ourselves yet. Is it because the technology simply has not been developed? I do not think so. I think it is because the act of bathing is too important to outsource to a machine, even a good one. It is too intimate and personal. The hands that clean us need to be our own, or those of someone we love or trust.

The window washer climbed carefully into his makeshift elevator. Its a very frightening job, maybe a shot of alcohol will help, then again thats the worst you can do.

A washer can be a washing machine that washes clothes. It also has another meaning, a washer is a part of a tap. You can buy washers from plumbing appliances stores.

I spun the small metal circle around and around on the string mesmerized as I pulled it tight and the washer spun furiously fast.

He threw his clothes in the washer, and hopped in the shower. No matter how much he scrubbed, he couldn’t get the paint off his hands. He was frustrated but decided the updates to his car were worth it…. And then decided, hey, some ladies like when a guy is willing to get his hands dirty.

I have a front load washer. It is very annoying as I have to add water to is each time I do a load. It has a very fast spin speed and dries the laundry very quickly. I wish I had another washer but I am stuck with this one. Thanks for lett
