325 Entries for “warfare”

  1. It’s sad and passionate, a burst of colored balloons across a bright blue sky, like bullets on a battlefield (b alliteration!). It’s tragic, yet inspiring, invoking strife and striving. We’re always embroiled in it–“war never changes”–but we’ll always be lifted by it as well.

  2. Agian and again, with the smoke and mirrors, we do battle here. It’s not just anyplace that we fight, no, we duel everywhere. There is nothing that can stand in between you and I for we are sworn enemies. In this type of unregulated warfare, anything goes, dear foe, anything goes.

  3. Warfare can be good and bad. War gives us the peace we need to maintain law and order in our country. Warfare also kills hundreds every years either innocent bystanders or soldiers fighting for their country. Either way we would not be able to survive without Warfare.

  4. I think warfare is necessary at some times, and not at other times. I think there is a time and a place for it. If its over something sill that you could easily talk it over instead of fighting. I think the majority of the time people should talk it over, not fight.

  5. Guerilla. Stuff you learn in fifth grade social studies. And that new song about love or something. Kinda like that love is a battlefield song. Everyone thinks love is war now. Kinda sad.

  6. where there’s warfare, there’s smoke, there’s cannons there’s all sorts of guns and firing. Or…

where there’s warfare, there’s quiet, there’s silent, there’s looks, theres horrible things, and there’s all sorts of unnecessary creepy subtle stabs at everyone.

  8. if you want more love, why don’t you say so?
if you want more love, why don’t you say so?
    just say so.~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

  9. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words are worse, they’re warfare. After seeing how wrong they were their jaws dropped open in an attempt to retreat their remarks back into their mouths, while backup words stuttered out waving a white flag of “i am so sorry”, but the damage was already done to me….you can’t unexplode a bomb.

  10. Warfare. The first word that pops into my head is death. I would say a good amount of people have died through warfare. Each day technology gets more and more advanced to the point were machines are killing people in the most brutal ways possible. http://thedude510.tumblr.com/

  11. The warfare continues to this day. some days, the battles are easy. Other days, it is all I can do not to pick up a weapon and slash my way to victory. The battle is ongoing. There is no victor in sight, yet I persevere.

  12. After seeing how wrong they were their jaws dropped open in an attempt to retreat their remarks back into their mouths, while brave new words marched out waving a white flag of “i am so sorry”, but the damage was done….you can’t unexplode a bomb.

  13. Warfare to me makes me think about the ppl at war. Like in Iran or just are war with themselves. People cane be at war with themselves over many things. Love and life.

  14. this is no small demonstration. you look upon us with pity. you are not ready, but we are.

  15. “What’s it like out there?”
    “Hot, sticky and never victorious.”
    “What about when you win?”
    Silence. “No,”

  16. its like bombs going off inside me, all day every day. never ending conflict. Will this ever stop, the fight between good and evil? I stand on the side of God.

    by Anne on 10.16.2011
  17. I don’t like war?? And so yah. I know that warfare is bad, so….yah……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

  18. This isn’t the type of warfare I’m used to. I understand guns, bombs, knives, and all that, but fighting to keep the guy I want is a new experience. The thing that always seems to be true and work though is just doing me, so that means I gotta give up fighting. I gotta just let things e the way they should be, cause if I have to fight for him he’s not the right one. That guy would be the kind to say,”There is no one else. It’s only you.”

  19. The angel dropped his sword and stared into space. Was the battle won? Over? He hardly dared believe.

    Belief.

If only he could believe like the humans did. Wholly on faith. What a blessing. What a result. What pose. If only they realized it.

    Belief. It was a gift.

  20. not enough peace to go around
so we send out our love to the battlefield’s
let the good fight it out themselves
we’ll all be waiting for the outcome

    by Tina on 10.16.2011
  21. of the ideas in the world, warfare is one of the least attractive, until you realize that there are many there are many types of warfare that many of us engage in. Subtle one-upsmanship; word choices, looks or chosen responses or reactions that chill, encourage or intimidate or evoke favorable (so deemed by us) as a manipulative move for our favor. Don’t we all engage in some type-even for peaceful motives?

  22. there was love
    then there were tears
finally all that was left was warfare

    by Jean on 10.16.2011
  23. what weapons do i even have anymore? you’ve got the control, which is the nuclear reactor of relationship warfare. you’ve got the shot-calling, the heart-breaking, and the memory-invading. i’ve got nothing but a pathetic urge to chase you anyway. how did i end up being the fighter?

    by Sally on 10.16.2011
  24. The cry was all around them. The others were closing in. She knew he was after her, though why did he have to make a warfare? They weren’t going into battle, or were they?

  25. Today at a protest I met a homeless man who was in the Marines at the time of the Grenada invasion of 1983. He told me when 3 guys in his unit were killed that the plan for the next day was to raid a suspected Cuban / Fidel Castro loyalist part of the island and kill anything that moved, including women and children in retaliation. He detailed how he and two others shot out all the windows in a small house, then at once, threw grenades in each window, killing 2 parents and 6 children and went on to capture women and rape them in front of their husbands before killing them. I studied the Grenada invasion, the things he was saying were very accurate, I don’t think he was lying…his emotions sure suggested he wasn’t kidding.

  26. warfare makes me think about whats going on in the middle eat right now, and how we all are fighting for basically the same thing. it makes me think about what the world has come to that this is the only way we seem to be able to solve or figure out our problems. doesnt seem to work to well either, does it?

  28. A conflict with other people, where there are lots of people who die. It is difficult to live through this situation. People lose their families, friends and loved ones. War is not fair and it needs to end we need

  29. It began before he was born but he was too young to know it and when he kissed her good-bye and she let him leave, he thought it was the right thing to do. They both did. Only years later when his son was placed in his arms did the man recognize that the nightmare was something he should have run away from and so he did, clutching the babe in his arms he ran and never looked back and it was all for the best though the ride kept going around and he thought he would be sick but he never was and when the boy grew into a man, they were friends and it was as if it never happened at all at all.

  30. we were a struggle with no end in sight. you licked
    your rope burns and i
    let mine swell.
scars dragged through the dirt, deep,
    by our solitude and
we covered them with the foyer rug.

  31. comobat. they say that its ok, but really what happens when you come home? that’s what I wondered when daniel told me he was going back. that’s what i still wonder. what will it be like? will he look different? of course he will. but that will be just the start. last time he changed irreparably. for the good. at his core. but it was gutrenching and hard.

  32. “I can’t do this anymore!” She tears caused her hair to mat up against her face, her nose and cheeks both red and aflame. The way the light hit her tears made her eyes sparkle. I couldn’t do this to her anymore. I had to let her go.

    by Sara on 10.16.2011
  33. international question turning into thin air
no one left to wonder, what happened to war/fair?
it never existed, just as the root itself wasn’t meant to be
why can’t we all just “be”

  34. It’s the division between these bloody social groups that keeps high school enteratining. Now all I need to do is spice it up a little bit. Get the insults to be yelled, pranks to be pulled, plots to be formed.
I think I’ll take up the leadership position in one of these tribes. It’ll be the cunning tribe. The witty, the clever, the plotting. We’ll be the kids to sit back, look untouchable and brilliant, and watch the others fall to pieces after a few of our subtle urges.
There’s nothing really to be fighting over. Just the thrill to fight. The entertainment of high school.

  35. This is the beginning of a fight that you can’t win, and that I won’t let you lose. We’re going in this together, heart to head to heart, and we’ll come out in pieces or not at all. We’re a tough team to beat, and we’re only infighting, making war amongst ourselves. Face me down, coward! Draw breath until you can no longer expand your lungs, and then we’ll sit and cry together over the broken shards of both our bodies.
I’ll come to your funeral, you at mine, and we’ll all sing in double time…

  36. Heartbreak warfare was playing. He was there. I was there. Was anyone REALLY there though? I know I wasn’t. Things were going to change eventually. Things always changed. But, do they ever REALLY change? No. People stay the same, and things remain unchanged.

    by Katie on 10.16.2011
  37. heartbreak warfare
    that gay john mayer song
    is so absolutely pathetic
    but the lyrics aren’t wrong
    breakups are the worst
    even when their easy
    because you suddenly feel lonely
    even if you should be
your the one who made the choice
    so live with it alone
    and make yourself busy
instead of sitting by your phone
and if your the one getting dumped
well then it’s never very fun
    it usually requires tears
    and the feelings aren’t done
you have a rollercoaster of emotion
    between regret and general pain
you can’t see where you went wrong
even if it was all a game
you can’t get through a breakup
    without feeling you’ve been shot
    breakups are like warfare
    except that it’s really not

  38. I don’t really know what I’m doing, but I thought of Allstar Weekend’s song “Submarine Warfare”. I mean, it’s a great song by a great band and I still have thirty seconds left and no idea what to type since I don’t remember the lyrics lolololololol. The bar keeps getting brighter as time goes on but i like soft purples not bright purples almost done yes.

  39. Warfare. this is such a powerful topic, too hard to write about in 60 seconds. so much to be said in 60 seconds. in 60 seconds,so much to say, but it takes less time than that for just one person to die. and less time than that for hundreds of people to die. in 60 seconds. so much could happen, so many things so much more productive in so little time. plant a flower, make some toast, pet a puppy. but so many people, in so little time, are killing. and dying. in just 60 seconds.

  40. oh meh gosh. I just did this. not sure what to say about it now other that damn, war sucks. Mostly because I dont know the full definition of warfare.
