  2. I think about flowers and bows and pretty little kittens. I think of Professor Umbridge and how annoying this is. I love him. I can’t stop thinking about him and he’s in my dreams all the time. I have a hard time writing

  5. The cool grass beneath my body soothes my warm skin; the bark from the tree is rough against my back, but I hesitate to move from the shade. The sun is beating its rays down upon every body that sits in this very park. A slow bead of sweat drips down my lower back. All I can do is smile from the company I have. The sun warms my body, but he warms my heart. Closing my eyes in complete serenity I am feeling fulfilled in this moment. As I rest my head on the knees my arms have wrapped around, the sun illuminates my violet strand of hair that has fallen across my face. As he gracefully brushes the hair away to stare into my eyes, my lungs fill with air. As I exhale, I am at peace.

  6. Violet. A rush of pleasure deep inside. Not just a color, but a feeling. Something you don’t feel until you have experienced love. The first time I really felt Violet was with Charlie. It was nothing spectacular yet it meant the world to me.

  7. Violet. She never liked the name. It was like doubling the pain of first impressions. She never thought of herself as a delicate flower. And the colour just seemed claustraphobic. Nevermind that, as a name, it was one consonant short of an

  8. Blood is not red, it’s violet.

It’s more purple than red. Purple is the color of royalty.

Did ancient kings measure their power in blood?

Our society was perverted from the beginning of mankind.

  9. Violet is purple. I had a violet sweater. I bought the sweater for my very first date with Jim. Jim was something special. It all started online. I never believed in online dating sites and wasn’t sure if anything could come out of it. But I went through anyways and just didn’t take it very seriously. I never imagined I would find a hilarious, incredible, charming guy like Jim. It started with small talk, which led to giggling hysterically at our own corny jokes. I actually found someone I could love on this website that I never found faith in.

  10. i already wrote about this. but i think that the color violet is okkaayy looking. i think that its pretty light compared to the real color of violet, which is mixed with blue and red. it also reminds me of willy wonka.

  11. Not intending to stay on the island past nightfall, mari packed what food she could and boarded the handmade raft. The only thing she took to remember Paul by was the violet he had given her the night she had arrived. Something about the flower kept it from wilting, from dying. Infact, the whole island seemed to be youthful and vibrant, like one could remain on it forever, never changing. She let the tide pull her out to sea as she watched the magical island shrink into the horizon, finally losing sight as the sun dropped with a splash into the sea.

  13. the way he looked at me immediately made me begin daydreaming…
    where we would get married
    how many kids we’d have…

    then–
i saw how he looked at Violet.
every plan that i created in my head
    became like the rest..
    no longer plausible.

but everytime i see that smile toward me
i think about he and i…
    and of course, Violet.

  14. Flowers. What color comes to mind as you just read that? Violet, maybe even red for roses. The important thing is that certain colors pertain to certain events. Meaning, looking at certain colors, shades and tints, could trigger a place or person in your memory. Fascinating, isn’t it?

  15. Her eyes were violet, her skin clear with just a hint of freckling dotting her button nose and cheeks. Her raven hair fell to her waist and she looked up into my eyes as she twirled her fingers through mine.

  16. The violet box contained my tears, my scars and my blood. But I kept it anyways as a reminder of what i’d gone through. I still have the letter that told me she was dead. I still have the blade that took me on such an emotional ride. I still have my note that i’d never sent. And despite all of this, I still have my life, summed up in a violet box.

  17. Violet was a kind, beautiful girl. She never wanted to hurt anyone. Violet loved her children, Violet died because she didn’t follow they’re plan.

  18. Her violet eyes darted around the room searching for a familiar face.

    “Looking for someone?”

She darted around, looking for the source of the voice.

“Christian?” she gasped, a look of pure astonishment written all over her.

    “Miss me?”

  19. Violet is the name I want my daughter to have. I was almost named Violet but my middle name consists of most of the letters in the word Violet. It’s a beautiful color and another word for purple. When I say it, I sound fancy and sophisticated. Violet is simple and royal. Like a queen.

  21. I think of Barney. I think of purple…the Color Purple. Doesn’t that have Oprah in it? I think it does. it’s about a slave girl who rises out of the ashees…Ilove stories like that. But they get so old so quickly. I think of violets, the flowers. I think of tulips. I like the color lilac. It’s so beautiful. It used to be in my room for a while…until I changed it.

  22. Colors sprinkled through the meadow, as all the flowers were in bloom. But her favorites were the bright purple. Violets. The flower she was named after. Sadly, she murmured to herself. “If only there were more violets, and less dandelions.” For all that dandelions were good for health, violets were prettier in her eyes.

  24. She knew people would stare. They should. That horrible cage they called a “school”. All they did was tease her. Stare and make fun of her. She finally gave them a reason to stare at something other than the scar that crossed her face. Stretching from her eyebrow down to the corner of her lip. It’s not like she asked for the hideous reminder of her fathers drunken rage. So she made a change. A drastic change to distract from her scar. She dyed her hair violet. Her whole head. Let them stare. She didn’t want to hide behind a mask anymore. She had finally taken the mask of happiness off and revealed the true her. The genuinely happy her.

  27. Rich, deep, beautiful. A flower, a stone. She looked all around her at the beauty of her surroundings and the amethyst rocks in the lake, and the violet flowers growing near the reeds jumped out into her field of vision and dazzled her senses with their beauty.

  28. this is a very beautiful color in my opinion. most people oversee it as a “girly” color, but i think it could be a masculine color as well. purple, or violet was and still is a color of royalty and a sense of power to mankind.

  31. Violet is the color of love. Without violet there would be no life. At the center of violet, is Courtney Love. Courtney Love is widely misunderstood. Kurt Cobain loved her very much and if he loved her then I love her because I love him.

  32. violet reminds me of that one day. That one day when what grandma told me changed everything. The day in the hospital when she knew she would never live any longer.. not to see her great grandchildren. Only me. The nurse knew she loved the smell of violets..

  35. the color purple. an amazing novel. i love african american authors. it is only because i wish to envelope the african american experience. and feel the struggle and be proud of who i am for what i have overcome. white is such a color filled with disdain.

  37. I smelled them, the flowers, all around me. I loved going out into that field and laying in them. Sitting in my grandmothers garden every summer evening of every summer that I visited. The violets, so potent, so amazing. I felt like I was dreaming, like the smell made me see the color violet too.

  38. Violets are blue right? or are they purple… ? I think they’re purple. I think everybody else is actually just color blind and or just being dumb. I’ve just established that as we have been writing this. I wonder what word will come next? I mean I just did violet. Oh I just got a message in my inbox…

  40. Violet is an amazing color. Dark like the night and blue like the sky. Some call it purple but people who feel they are more intelligent than others enjoy calling it violet. Violet represents a cold color with warm red undertones, merging the winter cold spectrum with the warm summer hues.
