without villians there would be no need for heroes… but without heroes there is no one to look up to. villians are a necessary evil. without evil there is no comparative “good” … good cannot exist without its evil counterpart.
A villain is a person who everyone fears, regardless of what they might do to you. From stealing a wallet to something far worse. I’ve been lucky enough not to encounter too many, but when I have it has a been frustrating as much as anything. the enemy in the story. he always does the bad stuff and tries to kill the good people. that’s why there’s the good people and it gives them a purpose. the villian can do such mean and tricky things like destroy cities or build robots for that exact purpose. perhaps the word villian is derived from some latin terms such as vil-. i do know vile stuff smells bad. and villians are bad. their purpose is evil and they do not deserve to live at all.
