  12. Upper is a word indicating a direction, but with upper, people usually associate it with gods, the better, the sky, the universe, and what is higher. When you say upper, you get the sense of a shining light up in the sky, of the more, the higher, and the richer. So, upper is not just a word, its a world of words and meanings, and it means the same to most, its whats next and whats up the ladder. Lets check the upper and keep going higher.

  27. She knew she had the upper hand in the relationship almost immediately. The guy that she was set upon was definitely unused to the attentions of girls as pretty as herself (which was, in her opinion, not exceptionally gorgeous but definitely up there). Also, he had expressed his fancy before she even had a lot of time to consider it. He may have been the more attractive one, but he definitely would bend to her will whenever she choose to exert it, so long as she did so sparingly.

  38. The upper level of the business is the no no place. I have worked here for 15 years and never once been to the upper level. There are rumors around the office on what it could be. Some say you never come back if you go up. That’s why the day I was summoned to the upper level I was terrified.

  39. the thing I enjoy most is getting to that highest of heights. Seeing a towering building and knowing that I can conquer everything. Buildings invoke a confidence in me that nothing else can. I get a high just looking at what I could conquer and knowing I can. My dreams seem a little big for such a small environment but it’s the idea that’s stronger anyway. There is a feeling about architecture that I get. The solid block of Wilson hall standing it’s ground for objectivity and housing the powerhouse of reporting. The grace instilled in the intricacies of Pogue library. Oh, I could write about Pogue for days. Every curve in the iron gates delicately inviting only those strong in themselves to enter the royal hush of the library. People feel hushed because the wise journals and leather bound story tellers have the floor.
