  1. He stared at the door before him. His eyes traced the jagged edges in the lower-half of the upper left pane. His hand slightly throbbed, but he couldn’t look away. Behind him, she sobbed, scared by his sudden outburst, terrified by the silence that had followed.

  2. I felt enraged. I couldn’t hurt though, not again, so I ran. I just left, running as fast as I could. Out the door, across the yard, down the road. I didn’t know where I was headed, and I didn’t care. She did it to me again and she didn’t understand. The last thing I wanted was to hurt her though. I couldn’t do that.

  3. I feel like I can lose my temper really easily. At the stupidest of things. I wonder who thought of the phrase “lose your temper”. Do you really lose it? Don’t you really just lose control of it? Because if you actually do lose your temper, you no longer have it anymore, and wouldn’t that mean you wouldn’t get upset? It doesn’t make sense to me. Almost makes me lose my temper. HA. Anyway. The last time I lost my temper was this morning. I waste my gas to go get breakfast for my friend, with my other friend, and she bitches about how her bagel is cold because I wanted to go get myself a breakfast burrito. Mind you, neither of them paid for jack shit. I wish people could understand the shit people do for them. Everyone is just so simple. Everything has to be explained, what happened to the subtleties?

I become angry, I cry the tears of my family who suffer while ignorant teens make stupid jokes. I feel like fate has added equal parts of stress and annoyance to my life to see if I’ll blow my top. I don’t want to give fate that satisfaction.

  31. “What a temper,” She says to the small red cheeked child. The kid ignores her, screams even louder than before with fat little tears dripping off the tip of her nose and dark hair fanning all around. She isn’t sure what even tipped the poor kid into a tantrum but she ignores the crying all the same.

I tell them it would be beautiful if it didn’t hurt

  34. My temper got away from me. I have been building up so much hate inside. So much hate for them, for God, for His creations, and for myself. But never for her. She is the only light in my life and in my dark existence. And I took my temper out on her. I’ve ruined the only good thing in my life. I used to go to her, to get away from the darkness inside of me. But now I see, I deserve myself.

  35. My mother has quite a temper. Sometimes it is grounded in pure irritation and sometimes it is quite unfounded. See gets her temper from her father who used to flip at the drop of a hat. I tried to call him, but his phone just went to static with his warbling voice all growing icy in the winter winds around him, saying, “This is Charlie, leave a message, I’ll get back to you.” That’s bullshit. So I punched a pillow and sat grumpy on the couch until I crashed.
