  1. My favorite teacher is Mr. Torch. He had cancer a bunch of times and i think still has it today. He really inspired me to love writing which is probably what led me to do this along with Maddy he linked me to it. But anyway, he was really cool in American Literature and I hope to learn more about American English and take classes in college.

  3. Daniel was a quiet guy, never really talked much to fellow students. That was why, when he was graduating, he did not expect anyone to miss him. When his favourite teacher came up to him at the end of the ceremony, hugged him, and exclaimed that Daniel ‘saved her life,’ it made Daniel realise just how many lives one person can touch simply by being there.

  4. i miss my teachers. it’s weird to grow up, graduate college, and then realize that you yourself can become a teacher. the people that were there for you all throughout school are people, just like you. they inspire and help you grow on a daily basis

  5. I had a teacher who was my idle. He let me down by stupidity. I have no desire to pursue anything anymore. This life is full of disappointments and it drags me down each day. I had a teacher who was once my idle. Now I live day to day looking for an answer.

  6. I spent a lot of time wanting to be a teacher…until I realized how much I hated my teachers. It is a shame, really – our youth today are bound by the wit and knowledge of people who are simple and ignorant on how to make a real paycheck. Such a shame.

    by R. Barnes on 06.09.2011
  7. i am a teacher. i just graduated from school with a degree in elementary education, but the market is terrible for new teachers. I loved school, and a large part of that fond remembrance I have is because i was lucky enough to be surrounded by wonderful educators. my father and mother are both teachers, and their constant reminders about the importance of education aided in forging my path to being in schools forever.

  8. mrs o brien had a long pointy chin and backward sloping teeth that were all kind of yellowy, she was witchy I thought when I first saw her and very fierce too, but she was the best, she read us the lion the witch and the wardrobe and I listened with my head down on my folded arms, warm in my navy blue school jumper, safe in school when the world had gone scary, happy in narnia, not thinking of sad and frightening things

  9. the teacher is the best agent for facilitation of learning, whether it be e-learning or blended learning or onsite in-person learning. We know that from experience.

    by Pascua on 06.09.2011
  11. Probably the most important variable you’ll ever face in school is your teacher. You’ll have amazing teachers that motivate you to succeed, and then you’ll have those terrible teachers who will motivate you to sleep.

  12. So important in the world. Taken for granted. Disrespected. All of these things and more describe teachers and they don’t even have to be school teachers. Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends, family, celebrities and more all are teachers. I don’t understand why people don’t realize this.

  13. He became my teacher-
showed me how to be bold with myself, to be bold with him
and together we learned what it was like to touch and tease and pull desire from a single trembling bud.

  14. He had been her teacher, her mentor, her best friend. Everything important she had learned was from him. And she had never gotten to tell him. It was too late. He was gone. “I love you.”

  15. Ew, I hate teachers. Well, maybe not hate. Hate’s kinda strong. I mean my Modern American Short Story teacher was pretty cool. And I had this nice teacher in elementary school. Ok, maybe I don’t hate teachers, ‘cept art teachers. Art teachers can’t teach. If you can’t draw or aren’t a good artist, don’t expect your art teacher to help you much. Other than that, teachers aren’t that bad, I guess.

  16. A teacher is someone who opens up doors within your mind. Who helps you to explore your full potential and presents you with all the options. Not a door is left unopened, a window uncracked. There is a ease of mind in their presence. An opening of the soul that allows you to tap into the best parts of yourself.

  17. i learned more there, beneath a shroud of waving trees
than i ever did from a book or any breathing thing.

  18. I never liked my English teacher. Not only did her breath smell like dirty cat litter, but she always insisted on leaning in way too close when she was showing you something in a text book.

She was in her late fourties; frumpy and hairy, and wore Coke-bottle glasses. She wasn’t horrible-looking, she just didn’t try. I know she was brilliant, though– she had a PHd in two things. *Two*, and she was only fourty-six, at the most.

But the curriculum didn’t really require her to use her full potential as a teacher. I don’t know why she didn’t become a college professor, but it really wasn’t my business to ask.

So, for an entire semester, I dealt with cat-litter-breath woman, until I finally couldn’t handle her intrusive and yucky demeanor anymore, and I transferred to a different class. What I thought was a better class.

I learned this morning that she died. I pass her classroom every morning, and my heart sinks. Her cat-litter breath and hair was a side-effect of her illness.

And now I know what it truly feels like to be an asshole…

    …and I miss her.

  19. i have a teacher that i absolutely hate his name is Newell and he is the biggest jerk you will ever meet in your life! he talks trash on KU and he just tries to irritate you and it always works, personally he tells us that his ex wife cheated on him, but i think he is the one that cheated on his ex wife, he a dirty bastard.

  20. Since I was little I have always wanted to be a teacher, specially a kindergarden teacher… it’s cool to be able to show something to somebody, to help then grow in their knowledge. I just hope my students don’t hate me as I hate some of my teachers.

  21. as i teach my child i grow with my child. teacher i am but also student. growing as a parent as my child grows as a kid, into a little me to have her own offspring to grow with as one.

  22. She glanced up at all the children sitting peacefully in their seats. She smiled. They were such good little students when their throats were cut.

  23. David arched his back as the tip of the paddle smacked across his arse with a sharp sting. John kneeled behind him with a smug grin and a soft growl, “You won’t upset teacher again, will you, Dave?”

David let his head hang, a bead of sweat rolling down his nose. “No sir,” he panted softly, “Never.”

  24. I had an awesome history teacher sophomore year. His name was Mr. Webner, and he taught me to love the little things in life. He also wore a kilt to school every friday.

The other teacher ate the crap from the cup,
    Then they both kissed…
    Two teacher and a Cup…
    The dirtiest oneword ever…

  26. My friend had always wanted to be a teacher, ever since he was a kid. We was gonna be good at it too, I could feel it, about him. But then Walker came around, and everything changed. He needed to be able to raise the family he’d have one day. With Walker, everything changed. His hopes were gone, all because of a man. That’s life.

  27. So he came close while I was reading a book, said to me that today I looked more beautiful than ever, and asked me if I wanted to go with him to study a little more

  28. teaching education to young minds. malleable and untested, the first authority, molding minds to makeable parts. turning children into machines oiled and perfected.

  29. I want to be a teacher. I use it as an excuse to watch disney channel and play neopets.

I met a teacher today, a man on a bike outside a gas station who gave me a flower and told me to do what I love. He gave me a flower, and told me that beautiful things should be given to beautiful things. It was the first time I’ve smiled in too long.

  30. My mother exemplifies this word more than anyone else I know. Sure, both my sisters are teachers, but we are all who we are because of our mother. She taught us – not just with books and facts and ridicule when we didn’t know answers to trivia questions – but by setting an example that I am proud to follow.

  31. i wish there had been a teacher who had taught me the right things at the right time. now, i guess, its too late. get on with life and reassess your needs and ambitions.

  32. I needed a teacher to help me through my life.
The lack of one made it so difficult.
I needed a mentor to tell me what to do.
Or at least to suggest ideas.
I needed a parent to guide me towards my future.
The lack of one educated enough really hurt me.
I needed to make up my damn mind and just do what I fucking wanted to do.
    But that didn’t happen.

  33. She was an ample woman, her long hair flowing in delicate waves. Her glasses were classic in cut. A paisley design decorated them. You would never have guessed she kept a long blade at the base of her neck, beneath her pink sweater.

  34. The new teacher walked into the room, his stiff leather shoes squeaking against the hard white floor announcing his arrival to the rowdy teenagers. They all paused momentarily from their mischief to size him up and quickly realized that this one would be different then the ones who had come before him.

  35. teachers claim to be molding the minds of the futyre generation. what they are really doing is biding their time till summer so they can chug margarita’s and forget their students exist. they are dieing for the day they can retire and move to mexico.

  36. i hated being a teacher. at least when I was teaching middle school. those kids never listened and i just sat around writing off infractions. it wasn’t like they respected me or even liked me. and, well, I rather enjoyed the satisfaction of getting them in trouble. i can now appreciate the passion of the teachers i used to hate.

  37. at the front of the rom there is a chalk board and a sweater, the voice isn’t important. No one listens since she stopped reading Charlotte’s Web. Those warm afternoons where she would read about some pig and the spider. Those were magic. Now she has this sweater she wants us all to care about.

  38. I once had this teacher who liked to buy us apples. It was kind of standard for her to bring us some hand picked apples. Often she baked us an apple pie. I always had a facination with apple pie. Not that I really liked the pie itself, but the novelty of it. The same way some people feel about those cute drink umbrellas.

  39. A teacher once told me you can be anything you want to be, you just have to learn. Now, in my infinite aged wisdom I am glad to have a Mother In Law that is a teacher. Not only am I glad but truly filled with joy that each and every day that I am with her she gives me the perspective to believe in myself.
