  1. The thing about sustaining anything is willpower and endurance. Or some superhuman combination of the two. Sustaining anything takes time and effort, and sometimes you just don’t have it in you to sustain the thing that needs to be maintained. So here’s the thing: at the end of the day the only thing you must try 100% to sustain is yourself. Because tomorrow, that’s the only thing guaranteed to be there.

  2. I can’t sustain myself within myself. So difficult to have a body, a body that is aging, a body that is so fragile. The not so strong fortress of the mighty power that is our mind/spirit is also finding it hard to sustain itself.

  4. Has anyone come across “One Word?” I was browsing for possible topics to blog about and I came across this site. It’s pretty nifty. It says “At the top of the screen you will see one word. Don’t think, just write about it, you have one minute. Ready go.” This reminds me of when I was a kid. My dad would pick one of the three of us (his daughters) to stay up late with, and tell stories. He would start the story with
A sentence…about anything, and you had to finish it). Sometimes he would come up with sentences like “Once upon a time, there was a monster roaming around the neighborhood, looking for,” These kind of subjects didn’t scare me,. They made me laugh and inspired my imagination.

  5. Sustain is the environment about stuff. Like sustainability of ecosystems. For example, whether or not a lake can keep an optimal amount of fish.

  6. Knocking on doors was never easy for me. What would they call that in a different business, like the papers? Sustain. That’s a good word. Musical. I like it. That’s what I’ll say, I lack the sustain. First couple of times, it’s ok, you treat it like business. But then, when the weight of your black news starts to bring you down, you just can’t take another crying mother, her boy’s splattered on the street somewhere, and I’m here, without sufficient sustain.

  7. I don’t know how I can sustain this level of sadness without cracking. It’s an inevitable part of life. Unavoidable. All I can do is keep my eyes up and remind myself of who I am and where I’m going.

  9. “How long have you even been doing this shit?” he gasped while he tried to finish the last rise of the hill. She laughed. “It’s not about the power, Nil. You should know that by now. It’s about sustain. Like some funky fuzz guitar in some porno rock.” He dusted himself off. “That’s a strange analogy.” “Not if you knew me better.”

  11. Given the amount of tension building up in his body, the resonance of his voice as he delivered his speech could be felt in the hearts of his listeners. If he can only keep this sustain, the balance will propel him to victory.
