  14. suggestion arent always what you want to hear instead they are others peoples thoughts on what you should do, everything is wrapped up in them from their own personal perceptions of who you are to their own personal life challenges at that given moment in time. I often find that I look at suggestions as a way to just justify my own actions. I cannot fiture out enough in my head what is the right thing to do so I instead turn to someone else for a “suggestion” almost a lazy way of finding out what you should do instead of having to go through the ugly twisted mess of rolling up your sleeves and dealing with the issue in your head and your heart.

  15. The power of suggestion is intensified after a few beers. With the mental filter weakened by libations, everyone is more open to suggestions, good or bad. You should get on that bar and dance. 23. I raised my hand timidly, looking around me at all the other students.
My eyes shifted back and forth, scanning my peers, and their blank faces. No one else looked like they knew the answer, or cared enough to say it.
So I held my hand up high, and kept a determined look on my face, staring at the teacher. He called on me, and I answered in a clear voice. But. My answer was wrong.
Everyone snickered, and I felt my face go red. My eyes dropped to my sneakers.
“Hey,” the teacher called out to the class. “Don’t know why you’re all laughing. It’s not like you had any answers.” And with that, he turned back around, and continued writing on the whiteboard.
Everyone shut up, and I felt the biggest grin stretching across my face.

  24. “We Could be Together You Know.
    When I Get Back.”
    What a Suggestion!
I Gazed at the Computer Screen,
Starstruck at the Words He Had Just Sent.
    After a Moment, I Typed,
    “Of Course!”
    Then I Erased it.
    I Tried Again.
“I’ve Waited Two Years For You to Ask Me That!”
    Erase.
    I Tried One More Time;
    “…Really?”
It Took Only a Second For Him to Respond.
    “Yes. Because I Love You.”

    I Froze.
I Couldn’t Bring Myself to Type Those Three Words Back,
Because I Had Been Hurt too Many Times Before…
So I Shut Down the Computer,
And Dreamed About What Could Happen
    If I Said Yes,
    But I Wasn’t Getting My Hopes Up…

  27. Sometimes you have to be sneaky with your suggestions, if you really wan them to happen. Sometimes, you have to suggest more to get the exact amount. Sometimes, you have to use extra suggestions, and suggest your way into having someone else come up with your real suggestion, and suggest it so it doesn’t seem like your idea.

  28. “What if you go undercover?” John asked.

Sherlock was pacing Lestrade’s office. He had a case involving famous companies but that wasn’t much of the problem, he already figured it out. All he needed was a confirmation of his theory.

“How will I go undercover? I don’t even know where he goes,” Sherlock said.

“Well, it says here that he frequents a strip club. It’s called Hellfire and it’s just near,” Lestrade butted in.

“What are you expecting me to do? Dress up as some gay stripper and offer Mr. Winton service?” Sherlock said with a snort.

“No, but..” John said, grabbing Lestrade’s glass of water. He looked at it and he looked at Sherlock and back at the glass again. Lestrade tilted his head in curiosity.

Sherlock’s eyes widened when he could see a mischievous smile playing at John’s lips. He was about to protest when a splash of tap water hit his face. John’s laughter was barely contained and Lestrade’s jaw dropped.

“I’m not taking this unspoken suggestion of yours, John. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I will NOT go to a strip club as a female and give Mr. Winton a lap dance!” Sherlock almost shrieked.

Lestrade’s mouth couldn’t be any more agape. “What the…?”

John chuckled. “Long story,” he said with a grin.

  29. times up. suggestion. what is your suggestion? what do you suggest I do? I think suggest is a soft word. what does it really mean. it’s not an opinion? it says nothing of the person that is making the suggestion. you don’t know where they stand on the issue. it’s just their suggestion for you. would they do the same in your situation?

  30. Natalie was worried sick.

What on earth would she wear to his birthday party tonight?

She wanted something cute and smart.

Something new and pretty to impress him.

Tonight she planned to speak – after admiring him from afar all semester.

The slick-mouthed, sultry store clerk made her nervous.

The busty woman’s suggestion was a silky, flaming red number with a plunging neckline and no backside to speak of… none.

Perhaps, Miss Hotsy-Totsy heard ‘tart’ instead of ‘smart’.

Natalie wanted his attention, but this really wasn’t her style.

    What WAS her style?

    Natalie sighed.

Sadly she realized, jeans and a tank top just weren’t gonna get her through anymore.

Swallowing her pride, she slipped on the dangerous dangling garment.

What little fabric there was hugged her every curve.

She stood before the full-length mirror, mouth agape, until she heard Miss Hotsy speak.

“Sugar, how you doin’ in theyar?”

Natalie slid the sliding lock to the right, the door slowly opened and she emerged.

“Oh my Lawd, sweetie! No hot-blooded man could resist you in that sexy thang!”

Natalie figured she’d need a few stiff drinks in her for courage, that’s for sure.

But, with all eyes in the shop upon her saying the same thing, she came to a conclusion.

Perchance this suggestion might just be the best she’d ever gotten.

  31. “It was just a suggestion,” she said.

He hated it when she did this. Softened the meaning of her words. If it was ‘just a suggestion’ then why did he react so negatively to the idea?

    by Annie on 07.10.2012
  35. “Oh really” he said, angry at the suggestion, but more that some one would take the time, call him out, and all for what? For nothing. “I’ll do what I damn well please.”

  39. I have a suggestion for you, why don’t you make this thing stop “jumping.” It’s very annoying. It’s very distracting. Plus I’m also not sure that anything will happen when 60 seconds is up. So maybe you have a suggestion for me too. Like I should not be so negative. I would do that if you will make the screen stop jumping. We could exchange suggestions. It would be “even Stephen.” What do you think? I definitely think that 60 seconds is up and nothing has happened.

  40. I suggest that you stop talking behind my back
I suggest that you admit you are wrong for once
I suggest that you actually listen to what I have to say for once
