  1. The stem is the thing that supports the plant, but I’m looking at it and it looks fragile. Too fragile. How can a spine such as that support a life, I wonder? How can a heart such as mine support a love?

    Still, the flower’s head stays up. Mine will, too.

  4. the part of a flower or plant that holds everything together. actually, when you hold a leaf or a flower it is that thing you grab onto. sometimes i like to peel away bits of a leaf until just the stem is left. i usually try to see how much of just the stem i can widdle it down to. it’s usually hard.

  31. well a stem is what a plant grows off of i guess, from it spring branches leaves, etc i mean we would have no trees or plants without stems. or possible a stem is a word given to you which you are told to write about, much like the one which we are given here.
