  1. Startled is how I feel when I am caught doing something that quite isn’t what I’m supposed to be doing. Startled is how I feel when I am woken up from a deep slumber without much warning. Startled is what I am when the alarm clock goes off, or when the baby cries, or when the cat knocks something off. Startled is not fun.

  20. Startled. I was startled even to discover this page. What is it about? It runs through my head like a rampant train going off course. That was just a fun metaphor. I dont know where it was going. What does it mean to be startled? Is is just physical? Or more? Would I ever want to intentionally startle anyone?
