  1. Life itself is a sport, you know. So many rules and regulations… It’s frustrating, really. Who decided upon these rules? Who decided that we should all follow them? Why are we held accountable to even the unspoken rules (you know what I am talking about.)? I’m sick of it, and I say “Screw it.”

Why are we held accountable to even the unspoken rules (you know what I am talking about.)? I’m sick of it, and I sat “Screw it.”

  3. Outside the window sit three large fields, three mossy patches completely abandoned of athletes in the late morning. A white truck slowly bumps up and down at the edge of the closest field.

  5. I love sports. To a fault. I am emotionally involved and it can make me sick. I am endeavoring to be less invested and find other interests/hobbies to put my time passion and energy into.

  6. I wrote about sports yesterday…Must I write again? Is there anything more to be said? Yesterday I did not have an account. I guess that all makes a difference. Sports, moving an object from one place to another, trying to claim victory.

  7. Oh I don’t feel well at all, a letter please to give to my teacher tomorrow, idea of running, jumping, shivering, sends me into a sick bowl heave, my stringy legs will buckle, my breath will burn out my lungs, and oh the sight of those fearless winners will grate every edge I have to grate. Sports? No. Never. Sorry. I can’t even watch the tennis.

  8. sports are a great way to get stay fit and have fun. Eciting to watch and to route for a team, best part is when that team you route for wins, but brace you self. Team defeat can hurt alot even if you are just watching. I heart Sports and the world would be boring place without them

  9. You know, I feel like swimming is really important. The truth is, I’m really not good enough to get anywhere, so basically I’m just doing it for fitness. And I guess so that I have some goals to work towards. It kind of makes me question everything that I do. I’m never going to be the best at something, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t try?

  10. Be me a sports? Can’t. Can’t be a sports. People go do sports and and they do it and and it isn’t like what me, so can me be a sports? Can’t. Can’t be a go do it peoplesed, and and can’t. Stop saying me be a sports.

  11. The only sport I participate in is archery. I kind of like pretending I’m a woodland huntress in an enchanted forest, practicing my skills before the upcoming war between good and evil.

  12. Sports Day was always a day of stress and anguish. It was never good that a 13 year old girl always ended up being the classes hope for medals in the shot putt and hammer. What does that do to a girl’s psyche?

  13. Sports, like many things, are a blessing and a curse. They are supposed to teach one about honor, teamwork, integrity…yet at the same time, they’re indulging some of the most primeval human tendencies- getting dirty, fighting, becoming almost obsessed about a single goal…sports, like many things, are decidedly human.

  14. football,soccer,lacrosse be good sport!

  15. SPorts. athletics, Tiger Woods, Steroids. WHat doesnt happen?
Basketball, football, golf, swim . Theyre all the same. Just Athletic beings with a goal.

  16. Sports, she said, I love all kinds. Sailing, swimming, sledding, and skiing. Climbing trees and jumping over things. Wow, he said. Would you marry me?

  17. Sports bring all men together. It doesn’t matter if they speak a different language- they still speak sports. If a guy doesn’t know about sports, then none of the other guys know what to talk to him about. It’s like meeting someone without eyeballs. It’s that bizarre to them. They always know which game is “the game.” Even when there are 100 different ones going on.

  18. For one thing I have never tried out for a sport and I have never been invited to a sports game besides hockey but I don’t really count that because I didn’t stay the whole game.

  19. I love sports. Baseball is my favorite sport. The San Francisco Giants are my favorite team. They won the World Series last year which was 2010. Tim Lincecum is the most bad-ass pitcher there is. And Mad Bum, I mean, come on. Madison Bumgarner is a bad-ass pitcher too!! Baseball is the best, but since it’s football season, lets go there. The Super Bowl is in a couple of weeks here. I don’t know who is playing yet, but I love the Steelers. They be the BEST. After football, comes hockey.

  22. I love the feel of my wind through my hair as I fly down the field, the ball soaring through the air overhead. The breeze fills mu lungs, burning with life as my feet pound the sandy path from base to base around the diamond.

    by Hillary on 01.18.2011
  23. Standing at bat, I can feel sweat sliding down my back and over my long forehead. I grip the bat tighter. I see Freddy, Mark, and Jo-Jo standing on base. They are waiting for that singular sound of wood and horsehide colliding. The ball flies pass and there is a soft smack as it buries itself into a leather glove. Sports have never been my thing.

  25. I have always hated sports. especially at achool. when you are small and skinny and can neither run or jump have no eye hand coordination, sports are a night mare. I would begave so badly prior to a sports lesson that I would getg sent to the head \but getting detention was better than the humilation of sports

  28. How I hated sports at school. Standing in the cold, wearing stupid shorts (‘divided skirts’ they were called, as if that made us more ladylike!), waiting to see if I’d be picked for the team, knowing I wouldn’t, hating standing like a cow on show.

  29. Sports car – I would love to own a sports car – thing is I would have loved one years ago when I had youth on my side – wrinkles and sports cars are not cool! Sports days at school – would have been better if I’d travelled in my overy own sports car!

  30. Sports are confusing. I don’t like them; they bring out the worst in people. They are very competitive. Although they are good exercise, they bring on lots of unwanted stress. Sports cause anxiety and I don’t like anxiety. I already have too much.

  31. When Benedict runs he is like a gazelle. Light of foot, slight of frame. I watched as he flew past the other 400 boys, effortless and handsome. The mud splatter

  32. Sports brings a lot of people together. It is something that is universally understood. Many people make a career from sports, like Tiger Woods. People can also ofter get scholar ships from sports and so can go on and study in college thus perusing their dreams. Sports keep you fit and healthy

  33. as i watched him, i couldnt help but think of the times we spent together. Of the times we watched sports like soccer, baseball, and even football. He actually got me to enjoy football. I knew it was love, even though he saw it as something completely different. A companion in his eyes, but a lover through mine..

  34. The toughest case I’ve yet to face, kissing up to those good old sports with their sun-tanned faces. Kids barely past childhood who think they’re the kings of everything.

  35. I hate sports. I’ve always hated sports. I was a gym nerd. You don’t see sports suffering during budget cuts, do you? No. Of course not. Just once, just once I’d like to see the entire country’s population sit, glued to their TVs, watching an opera!

  36. she was never really into sports, she never understood the need for it, running around like that, getting excited about a ball. not until she was in a stadium, with another 75000 fans, all cheering for the same thing that she understood, that she saw the passion, the atmosphere. it was just like being at a concert.

  37. it was cold and dark I was running with the ball everybody was watching but that didn’t matter what mattered was the TV commercial that was going to follow my game winning run

  38. Ah yes, people have their energies and passion for sports, yet most people sit around and just watch. I say, get out there and do something. Be part of physical culture.

  39. Sports again? did I miss something. I try to be a good sport. Smiling when other people get the house/job/baby I want. But sometimes when the little green eyed monster catches me unawares and I think – it’s not fair. Other times, I look around me and can’t believe my luck. It just depends on the day and hey – it’s not a competition right?

  40. training. Walking. laughing. Friends. Swimming. Better health. Go out with friends. Drinking. Meal. Nice weather. Good location. medaille. Luck.
