  30. Sponge

    Like a sponge

I absorb the world around me

    Information

    Sights

    And sounds

    Like a sponge

    I clean up

    The messes of others

    I am used

    Rung out

    And reused

    Like a sponge

    I am durable

    Yet delicate

    Prone to damage

    When run across the rough

    Surfaces of life

    Yet enjoy the soft touch

    Of your hands

    And when you clean me

    I am new

    Like a sponge

    Ready to be used
